Pitchfork isn't even Pitchfork anymore since they went corporate. They're literally the Taylor Swift hype machine. They hate any music which has a hint of adrenaline or intensity.No Pitchfork lists, Bogie. NO!
It's sort of like alternative after alternative became more popular in the 90s and 80s, often comes from independent labels, and often has a modest, lighthearted rock sort of feel. It overlaps with a lot of other newer rock. I think some of it is quite good and alluring.What is an indie album? That is always my first question. Many so called indie labels are sub companies of the big boys.
For me an indie band or record is a album the bands puts out on their own record label.
