Somewhat surprisingly he is the ranked #1 in active NHL players in playoff goals, ahead of Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin etc., but this year he only has 1 goal in 14 playoff games. So what's wrong? I looked at his ice time and it looks pretty solid, is it his linemates? Injury? Is he just having trouble keeping up?

He's old and it's finally caught up to him. Can't skate anymore, can't shoot, can't pass, is always behind the play. It's bad

And yet, he's on the line we INTENTIONALLY match up against McDavid or Draisaitl. We also matched him up against MacKinnon a lot. Very weird coaching decisions

He shouldn't be on the PP anymore either.

Sounds like Perry for us.

He was never the fastest but I think his hands and reflexes are in decline now and has even got more slower. He is painful to watch out there.

Always wondered when it would happen as he was producing still despite his age but history shows it can happen almost instantly.

Same place as Corey Perry… kinda.

This has to be their swan songs.

Brent Burns looks like it too… he looked terrible in that Rangers series.

Still probably the best in the league at tipping pucks though. Just stick him in front of the net on the PP and tell him not to move, he'll probably get one eventually.

He was tied with Malkin, Marchand, Debrincat, Strome and Kyrou for points in the regular season. Yeah he’s a little cold but where he is is being a big cog on a team in the conference finals.

If it doesn't work out for him this run, I hope he takes off the start of the next season and comes back for another playoff run.

Multiple long seasons look like they've caught up to him. Legs are shot, he's been falling down a lot. He already fell a lot even as a younger player, but taking him longer to get back in the play now.

How’d he put up 67 points in the default season then drop off so much in the playoffs?

He's old and hasn't been a primary driver for many years. If he ends up on a line with any vulnerabilities he will be neutralized at this point in his career and season. The most disappointing thing about the Sharks 2016 run was his complete disappearance in the final after being a top goalscorer, losing Hertl on the line absolutely neutered him.

He is that 'finds quiet spaces on the ice' guy that can't find that space if there isn't another banger on the line to open up that space. In the end this is why the Sharks moved on from him, and while Dallas to its credit has been able to surround him with enough good players to allow him to play his uber complementary game, eventually his issues can and likely will show themselves deep in the playoffs.

Gary Roberts once retired in his age-31 season. He worked on his nutrition that year mostly and then came back. He played 21 seasons in total in his career. Funnily enough now Roberts spends his time training Connor Mcdavid in the offseason.

He's old. A better question is where is Jason Robertson? He had 109 points last year and he's been missing all playoffs.

Robertson's been very effective for the Stars in these playoffs. Having a very good postseason

How’d he put up 67 points in the default season then drop off so much in the playoffs?

His point totals shocked Stars fans too this year. He was fine for most of the first half of the season but really started to fall off in the 2nd half and that's when we first noticed his game starting to get away from him.

Can't remember the last time he had a tip/deflection goal, which was his bread and butter for years.

Sucks seeing Pavs fumble around out there from game to game.

The whole pavelsi-hintz-robertson line has not been as good as they were in past seasons. Roope obviously has some injuries/illness that has kept him below his peak level, I think this is a big reason for pavelski's problems.

39 years old. Body wears out as the season goes on and on as he isnt built to last that long anymore and gets banged up during season. It happens
