According the Finnish press it`s more about lack of motivation. He wants to spend time with his family and doesn`t have the desire to be in that top shape that this kind of tournament requires.

Sami Kapanen thought hard if he even wanted to continue his career and chose after hard thinking to sign a contract with The Flyers.
