IMO it wasn't about the .75M AAV or w/e, they just decided they wanted to move in a different direction, get younger and deeper. It's still shocking that Colorado moved him over a small gap in negotiations and hilarious how he ended up back in the division in a month
That would be a quick turnaround for tee timesno, they're golfing in Minnesota
but Dallas is young enough and missing 2 very key players. They might just simply be better at this point. Think Colorado has to reevaluate a bit in this offseasonIMO it wasn't about the .75M AAV or w/e, they just decided they wanted to move in a different direction, get younger and deeper.
Hopefully this series was just the first chapter in what looks like it will be an epic rivalry for years to come.
bc he was literally the difference in game 7 when the series was deadlocked 3-3?No. Colorado would still lose if Rantanen was on the team. Why does everyone think that he would suddenly help Colorado beat Dallas now? He lost to them last year...
For sure. Avs are a work in progress, look at how much turnover they had just over the course of this season? Not gonna write them off yet personallybut Dallas is young enough and missing 2 very key players. They might just simply be better at this point. I knew Rantanen would eventually show up in this series.
But everyone kept saying how he needs #29 and #8 to produce
Also his stats were boosted because he played with Makar and MacKinnon and Lehkonen. Let's see what he's going to do now.
No way Rantanen makes a difference for Colorado. He's also on a way better team with a better goalie.bc he was literally the difference in game 7 when the series was deadlocked 3-3?

Wouldn't have mattered. They've had good teams with Rantanen before and it never mattered.I mean the team is significantly different this year, Nelson, Blackwood, Nichushkin, Landeskog, etc. And this was a 7 game series, so it was close w/o Rantanen, and the key that helped Dallas win this game late was...Rantanen...

They f***ing only got past the second round once with him. Suddenly Rantanen goes beast mode for Colorado now??? Tell me. What would be different than previous years?Oh yeah, the top scoring guy in the first round of playoffs wouldn't have made a difference.
Dallas lacks two of their best players. Without Rantanen, they're running really thin.
I’ll do you one better.
Why is Rantanen?
