Looks like a generic wild card team to me. A lot depends on Sorokin.

Chose 19-22, so just on the outside looking in. I was surprised they even made it last season with Sorokin being so off. Their offense always seems to be bottom third-fourth of the league and this doesn’t seem to have been addressed. A bit blah overall.

They are one of a pile of teams that are going to be fighting for the wildcard. My money is on them finishing just out.

Carolina, NYR, a resurgent NJ, BOS, FLA, TOR, TB I think are the 7 that will make it. And then Ottawa, Buffalo, Detroit, WAS, Pit, NYI fighting for a last spot.

Just outside the playoffs. The pop-gun offence just isn't good enough.

I think they fight for a wildcard but just fall short

I think New Jersey takes their top 4 spot and they fight with Detroit, Washington, sabres, senators and one of Toronto/tampa for the wildcard spots

I feel they are missing one impact forward, the defence is great and they have a top goaltender in the net

Depends a lot on how much damage Roy has done to their defensive structure and how much can be undone under him. Basically...can Pelech-Pulock bounce back and can Sorokin retake the net and regain his Elite form? Under Roy? Who is a bad coach.

Seems like their team always just look like this.. I wish they would do something one offseason and really switch things up. Unfortunately for me, they always have the most boring looking roster every season.

Anyways, I say they are fighting for a final playoff spot in the last week of the season but not get it
