What's wrong with Doughty?

I bet my car that when he gets his first goal his offense would be on track.

That was a great recovery on his part given he got a bit beat moments before to let his man get ahead of him. He's all heart though. That attempt to block a shot on an empty net the other night said it all.

I have no complaints with Drew this year at all. Which, judging by the fact that he has 0 goals is really saying a lot about how good he really is.

I have loved Doughty this season. It's probably a good thing the team is scoring goals or he would be getting a lot of **** right now. His offense will come soon though. He's just a beauty.

My favorite thing about Doughty is the way he breaks up plays. Just love watching it in action, even if I wasn't a Kings fan. Sure i'd love him to score more but i'll take what he's given. Fun to watch at least.

Yeah, joining the chorus... I've got no complaints.
It's kind of amazing that an attacking D-Man like Drew is playing so well defensively that I don't even care that he has no goals. If he pulls the trigger with more authority he will pot some, and everyone goes through scoring droughts sometimes. But that crazy diving block last night pretty much encapsulates how impressive he has been in our own zone. Dude can do it all.

I don't think anybody has complained about his play over the last 10 games or so.

Speaking of that ... isn't it odd with the Kings having won 10 of their last 13 games that this guy has been MIA ? :sarcasm:

I truly believe Jake Muzzin having 5 goals and getting shots off is a direct correlation to Doughty. I might be off on what I've seen, but it seems teams slant more towards DD's side of the ice, allowing Muzzin a bit more room than he normally would have.

I have no problems with Doughty not scoring goals right now.

It's an observation Fox has made a few times. Drew Doughty draws defenders to him like flies to ****.

Generally, Doughty is too hesitant to shoot and has a hard time getting his shots through. That's just Doughty being Doughty, though. His on-ice vision is a level above Muzzin and Martinez, who are much more willing to put a shot on when the chance presents itself.

This is really my only complaint, but when it opens up lanes for other shooters like Muzzin, eh...hard to be upset :)

The guy is holding down the top spot on a team missing two of the best stay-at-home defenders in the league (and I'm biased, but I really think Mitchell is the best). It's beautiful.

Spot on. Dude always hesitate before he shoots. In the NHL when you hesitate shooting lanes disappear and it gives the goalie a chance to get in perfect position. Doughty's shot isn't hard enough for him to hesitate and still score goals.
