What's the Story with Eddie Caron

I don't understand why he had to sit lsat sesaon, and be re-instated to play for UNH. Did he do something wrong?

He transferred to Yale and had to sit out due to NCAA rules.
Then he transferred back to UNH but is eligible to play this year.
