Keep in mind that some players on this list maybe still be in the playoffs/injured/don’t want to play come the IIHF WC 2025.

( ) = Age in 2025, for example Connor McDavid (28)

Team Canada

Jonathan Huberdeau (32) - Connor McDavid (28) - Mitch Marner (28)
Alexis Lafreniere (23) - Nathan MacKinnon (30) - Brayden Point (29)
Taylor Hall (33) - Mathew Barzal (28) - Mark Scheifele (30)
Dylan Guenther (22) - Shane Wright (21) - Matthew Savoie (21)

Morgan Rielly (30) - Thomas Chabot (27)
Cale Makar (26) - Bowen Byram (25)
Jamie Drysdale (24) - Aaron Ekblad (28)

Jordan Binnington (31)
Carter Hart (26)
Michel DiPietro (25)

Honourable Mentions: Max Domi (29), Jonathan Drouin (29), Sidney Crosby (37), Quinton Byfield (23), Vince Dunn (28), Nolan Patrick (27), Tristan Luneau (21), Sean Monahan (30), Trevor Wong (22)

Let me know who I forgot or left out!

Some of your ages are wrong. For example, Scheifele will be 32 in 2025 and Byram will be 24.

The young guys are hard to predict, and I still think Crosby could make it. Goalie is a crapshoot to predict right now.

Regardless of the roster by 2025 it’s still going to be a gold medal favourite. It would be a ridiculously talented and deep team.

He didn't mention neither Olympics or World Cup...
Also this is the WC forum. Put two and two together.

So we are meant to predict who does and doesn’t make the playoffs in 2025 then?

And yeah this forum also serves as the Olympic and WC forum when they’re going on.

Surely you should project Connor Bedard to be on the team? Or did his WSI drop his status that much?

I considered it but the kid is currently 13...to early to tell but I'm sure he'll play for Canada one day.

Thanks for posting this, hard to believe that in 2025 Crosby will be 38. Still if he's active he still makes the final team unless his skill level goes down dramatically over the next 6 years.
