I know HF likes to rank draft years and there has been a few notably bad ones (1999 for one), but how about seasons where the rookie crop hasn't really produced anything noteworthy?
I look at the 2003-04 Calder top 10:
1. Andrew Raycroft
2. Michael Ryder
3. Trent Hunter
4. JM. Liles
5. Ryan Malone
6. T. Ruutu
7. Joni Pitkanen
8. Patrice Bergeron
9. Nik Zherdev
10. Paul Martin
So the top 3 are laughably bad, I mean Ryder has turned into a serviceable journeyman but outside of Bergeron not any stars/superstars.
Any other years in recent memory with less than stellar rookie crops?
