Didn't see any threads on this topic that are recent or were active recently so I figured I'd start one to discuss current series that you folks are watching.

I'm juggling a few different shows between what I'm watching on my own and what I'm watching with the wife. I've never been much for comedy series, so I'm trying to run through a few of these recently.

What We Do In The Shadows (2019 - Current) - A group of ancient vampires are living in modern day Staten Island trying to reconcile their old beliefs and customs with the modern world. On a huge Matt Berry run right now, so this was the next in line after The IT Crowd. He, and the rest of the main cast, absolutely kill it. I'm currently on Season 3 and loving it. The humor is right up my alley and the guest appearances are particularly excellent. Accidentally spoiled a few of the guests coming up, but I'm looking forward to some of these. Already one of my favorite comedy series of all time.

Mr. Inbetween (2018-2021) - Australian black comedy/drama series which follows the story of Ray Shoesmith's life as hitman while he tries to balance his life as a father to his daughter, a boyfriend to his partner, and caregiver for his brother. Definitely a lot of funny moments with some drama and violence mixed in. I'm about halfway through the series so far.

Last Man on Earth (2015-2018) - Post-apocalyptic comedy series which focuses on Phil Miller (Will Forte) who believes he was the titular last man on earth, until another person arrives. Slowly more survivors start to trickle in and Phil finds it hard to live amongst other people again. Wife got me into this and we binged the entire first season + a few eps. this past weekend. Looking forward to watching more. So far Phil is one of the most easily hate-able main characters of a series that I can think of. Kristen Schaal is absolutely hilarious in this series.

I assume you have gotten to Will Ferrell's cameo? One of the best ever.

Currently watching Drive to Survive, which is way better than I expected. I've never had any interest in motor sports, but this has definitely turned me onto it. It's nice that F1 isn't really that much of a time commitment to stay up on the important stuff.

Also watching Halo, which I don't necessarily enjoy, but it's something that the wife and I can agree on.

Aside from that, absolutely nothing. I'm just entirely too busy.

Currently watching Arrested Development and Evil (honestly a great show, my partner and I always saw ads for it when it was first starting and always meme'd it thinking it would be bad but we tried it out sometime just for jokes and were pleasantly surprised), then always have a bunch of random trash reality TV shows goin on as well if I just want something to throw on and turn my brain off.

Recently watched Fall Out and Baby Reindeer, both great shows.

Will be checking out House of the Dragon this week when the new season starts.

funny enough, Last Man on Earth on Disney+ as I had never watched it before
Jessica Jones, had not re-watched this one since the last season ended so decide to watch all 3 again
Just finished Malcolm in the Middle

Never heard of "Evil", sounds worth checking out but I had seen a bit of Arrested Development, pretty funny.

Baby Reindeer seems pretty heavy, but my wife said she loved it.

Is The Acolyte pretty good? Carrie-Anne Moss is badass and looked good in the ads, but I heard she wasn't in it that much.

Never heard of Drive to Survive, never played Halo really so I was never interested in checking this one out.

Drive to Survive is a docudrama about Formula 1. It's on Netflix in the US and I'm guessing globally. Surprisingly good.

Watching some old shows that I've meant to watch for a while just never got around to.

Twin Peaks - Finished the 1st season a week ago. It was decent but I'm worried I didn't like it as much as I thought I would have for a show that is highly acclaimed, and now I'm going to start season 2 which apparently gets real bad at points.

Monty Python's Flying Circus - Pretty good sketch show. Some bits don't land quite as good as others but I'm enjoying it. Certainly can see how it influenced shows that came years and years later.

Sadly she indeed is gone early unless she is in flashback scenes later. So far I like it, better than say Boba Fet for example but not as good as good as an Andor.

As a big time Twin Peaks homer as you’ll discover if you finish season 2 and see my avatar… season 2 is good for about half the time, shits the bed for about 10 episodes then comes back with a finale that stands the test of time… then you watch the movie, dark as hell and glorious in every way… then you watch the Return and get confused as all hell because you didn’t have 25 years like I did to know everything about the show to understand The Return.. that said… finish all of it and PM me. You will be sent a link that will warp your reality of what TV can be

About half way through For All Mankind season 2. I love everything space and this is scratching that itch and then some. Very well made and so far from what I’ve seen, incredibly underrated

The Outer Limits from the 90's that is free to watch with ads on youtube
If you watch episode 22 ( The Sentence ) from Season 2 you will see me in a courtroom scene with David Hyde Pierce. I wrote about it here in another thread ( post #33 ).

Babe Ruth

Great series. And I actually think it was better than the original '6os version.
Similar genre, YouTube also has some of the Friday the 13th (the series) episodes uploaded..

The Twillight Zone. I'm a sucker for the format and don't mind older stuff.

Hell yeah love Twilight Zone! I just watched this one about 2 weeks ago:

Wife and I are about to watch “Lost” again pretty soon and we cannot f***ing wait.

The key is to put enough time inbetween viewings so things still feel kinda new. It’ll be our 3rd time watching the show

I'm watching Suits.

I'm spending large parts of it thinking I could be watching Mad Men instead.
I wanted to get into Suits, watched the first 3 or 4 episodes and it just didn't grip me. From the clips I've seen of it it looks good, but I just didn't get reeled in.
