The best word to describe the NHL so far this season is parity. Parity is a word that all leagues love to use to describe their sport. With so many teams having a chance for a special season, the right acquisition before the March 1st trade deadline could be a difference maker. The NHL trade deadline could be an exciting one this season with teams trying to shake up their rosters to make a playoff push, that’s for sure.

Actually, historically parity means the exact opposite; teams think they are still in and don't sell so there isn't any movement.

I'd expect another overly-hyped boring trade deadline.

I expect the Bruins to waste draft picks on mediocre rental players and either missing the playoffs or bowing out in the 1st round.

I was about to make a smart ass comment, the realized that's what my team(Wild) does, and we're trying!

Expansion draft should make it a bit more exciting.

Even if Calgary is in a playoff position I hope we are sellers.
