What shoulder pads to buy?

What shoulder pads to buy? I gonna use them in full contact hockey. I know you should try them on before you buy shoulder pads but its very limited where I live.
Im looking for max protection and max mobility, the price is not an issue, I want the best.

Are there some good shoulder pads that nhl players use?

Should I buy pro stock shoulder pads or retail? I use pro stock hockey gloves and the difference is huge vs retail. Better fit and better protection. Is it the same in shoulder pads or what?

I like CCM's older vector line. I have the V09s and they are the perfect mix of weight and protection. I also like that they are low profile as opposed to some of the bigger Bauer and Warrior pads. The new line are the crazy light and crazy strong ones. Since you are going full contact you might want the crazy strong ones.

Each time I've watched 24/7 the most common shoulder pads I've seen hanging in the stalls seems to be the CCM vector line.

Yeah I was just stating that I used the V09's and liked them. Also it seems that the shape and features still seem similar.

I tried Bauer Nexus 1000 Ice Hockey Pant and it felt really good. Great fit and protection. Any experiences with this pant?

if you want something that gets the job done but at the absolute minimum, 5030's are the best you can get for the price

although if you're playing no contact beer league i don't see the point in wearing shoulder pads at all

Pucks/sticks to the chest? I know it's beer league but man guys still shoot the puck hard. I wear easton s something. Wouldn't mind trying something new still.

Yeah me either I haven't worn em since high school.

I have yet to get anything in the chest in the 15 years since.

Unfortunately the league I'm in this year requires em.

I agree with the others that said they don't wear em in beer league. I am in the same boat. I stopped wearing shoulder pads about two years ago, I block shots as well... I've never had an issue. Most guys don't shoot hard slap shots or have the time to get off a fast shot...it's typically guys danglin or taking wrist shots from the faceoff circles.
