What should be the priority of the management of the MTL Canadiens between now and the start of the season?2 choices
Take on a bad contract that comes with good picks attached would be ahead of any of the answer choices for me.What should be the priority of the management of the MTL Canadiens between now and the start of the season?2 choices
Me too, I don't see any of these choices being a priority.Take on a bad contract that comes with good picks attached would be ahead of any of the answer choices for me.

Sign a right-handed defensement
We don't have the budget to invest in anyone relevant and we don't need a classic bargainbin's move either.
Trade Hoffman or Armia
Sure, but Hoffman is a self-solving problem not a priority. Armia would be a priority but the demand is probably non existent. Either way, if there is a trade to be made then he should be made.
Buyout Hoffman or Armia
That come across as a move to appease the fans who want their pound of flesh more than a practical move, we'll ride out Hoffman contract and see where we are next year with Armia.
Sign a goon to face Lucic(Boston),Zack Macewen(Ottawa),Ryan Reaves(Toronto)
We are not competing with Boston, Ottawa or Toronto... and so we don't need to react to what they do.
Trade Allen
Sure, but he looked terrible last year, so who would want him right now?
Armia is so unpredictable and could have a good season and raise his value this year for a team ready for a playoff run. Probably not, but trading him right now won't get us anything, so better wait.I answered trade Armia or Hoffman and Allen, but tbh, these are non issues for now. Armia is a bit annoying, but the best bet is to ride it out. No one wants him.
