I'm running low on my stock of Reebok 9K P34 (Hamrlik) blades. Unfortunately Reebok dropped that pattern so I have to choose an alternative.

Does anyone have first-hand experience with the newer Reebok patterns? It looks like P40 (Hedman) and P42 (Duchene) look the closest but I can't really tell from the pictures which is actually closer. I'm wanting a very mild curve, flat face (no wedge), round toe, highish lie.

Also, going by the Reebok catalogs, starting in 2012 they seemed to have changed the P40 pattern from a Lie 5, Square toe pattern to a Lie 5.5, Round toe pattern. Does anyone know if this is indeed true?

Thanks - Kevin

Reebok and CCM are weird. They keep moving names around and changing their patterns, many of them don't match anything else.
And I don't think they offer a range of patterns; they all seem pretty similar to me. I love the AI9 and was checking out the RBZ the other day, but I can only buy them pro stock because there are no longer any retail patterns that I would use.

Compounding the problem of the names and patterns frequently changing, the pictures that most of the online retailers use are not kept up to date unless they use the current catalogue. I bought a p34 blade back in the day because Hockey Giant's picture indicated a more open toe than the actual item. Oh well, clearance pricing made it worth taking the chance.

Yeah, the pattern pictures are all taken from like a 45 degree angle looking down the shaft. It's horrible.

CCM needs to hire me as a consultant to get their **** together.

1. Make five patterns:
- PM9
- P92
- P88
- P91
- Unique toe curve

2. Post pictures of the actual curves online, from the TOP and the SIDE

3. Give a dozen of the sticks to guys to review online (message boards, YouTube, Facebook, etc)

Boom, you will start selling sticks.
