What number will Ehlers wear as a Jet?

I need to swap out Kane on my Jets jersey. I'd like to add Nikolaj Ehlers now. Do we know what number Ehlers will wear as a Jet?

He wore 42 this year in TC. He wears 24 in Halifax. Clitsome currently has that number.

Trouba was originally given #3 until Burmistrov left and he changed to his preferred number. It's possible Ehlers could wear a number for 1 year and then change if #24 comes available.

With Ellerby down 7 is open, but so are 10 and 27. By the time Petan gets here, Jimmy Slater might be gone, so there is a chance that 19 could be free.

I like #7 or #27 for Josh. Both are pretty much open. Ellerby doesn't appear to be in their long term plans.

I actually like #19 on Scheifele. I don't know if he'd switch, but it just looks 'right' on him, IMO.

Petan could go #91. Though if Scheif sticks with 55, which he certainly could, then 19 would look good on Petan.

I think Ehlers will stick with #42, though I like #24 on him. Was 41 in Europe I believe. Doesn't seem to mind the big numbers.

I bet True North will "strongly encourage" Morrissey to go with 10 (as they did with other players who came to Winnipeg wearing retired Coyotes numbers).

I think 9 because he will 100% replace Kane. But we'll probably get rid of Clitsome anyways, so Ehlers will get 24 either way.
