I love seeing the non-enforcer fights that deliver. Who are some players that suit the title?

Zack Smith had an amazing Tilt with Nathan Horton. Both of these guys I’d put in that category.

Iginla was another great fighter.

Mike Fisher was strong af.

Horton was an interesting guy to see fight.

Sometimes he would look terrible. Other times he would decisively beat notable tough guys.

I’m not sure if Lucic falls under the category of “enforcer”. If so, he’s not making many “best of” lists. But if not, he’s been one of the best, if not the best, “non-enforcer fighter” through much of his career.

Again, I think of enforcers as “useless” players ala Colton Orr or Rob Ray. If John Erskine is a good enough player to not be an enforcer, he’s a good one for this category.

Wendel Clark
Milan Lucic
Rick Tocchet
Cam Neely
Ryane Clowe

Those guys come to mind, but they were pretty active fighters. Unless you're talking about non frequent fighters that could hold their own?

I think they still fit. Iginla was a power forward as well. Lucic is probably the best pound for pound fighter who could put up 25-30 goals in this era.

I’ll take this to the grave with me.

Lucic was a legitimate fist line talent and people got angry at him because he was 21 and didn’t fight 6 minute a night goons.

Derian Hatcher, Shanahan, Iginla, Clark, Lindros, Neely, and Roberts are all guys that fit the bill. Top pairing dman or legit 1st line star players who could and would fight guys who did nothing but fight for a living.

Clark Gillies, Larry Robinson, Barry Beck, Bob Nystrom, Curt Fraser, Wendel Clark, Rick Tocchet, Cam Neely, Shayne Corson, Brendan Shanahan, Derian Hatcher, Jarome Iginla, Gordie Howe, Scott Stevens, Dave Manson, Zdeno Chara, Terry O’reilly.

Bob Probert would be the king of that list but he only had a couple decent years and morphed into a goon. He had the talent to score 300 gals but his off ice habits sadly got the better of him.

He's young, so it hasn't happened alot, but Braden Schneider is a handful when people try to go with him.
