I can't seem to find any information about this, but does anybody know what ethnicity/nationality the name "Yzerman" is? I've never seen anybody else with that name, ever.

I've seen similar last names in South Africa so it's probably Dutch. Otherwise I would have guessed he was Swiss or perhaps Austrian.

There's a town/municipality in the southeast of Norway with my last name on it, but as far as I know I'm not Norwegian in the least... however, it would appear that at least my last name is. Heh.

My last name is also Yzerman, and it's of Dutch origin and its meaning is "Man of steel" which is referring to thousands of years ago when they were commonly known as blacksmiths.
