Calm down, im well aware that the Canucks probably arent looking to move JT Miller.

I'm more so curious what it would take for the Canucks to accept a Rangers offer.

Its been reported that Drury absoloutely loves JT Miller and has made numerous calls to Van regarding a trade.

There's also lots of talks that the Rangers are about to blow things up...

JT Miller is probably on one of the best contracts right now, and it will just get even better once the cap sky rockets up. He is signed for 8m a year for another 5yrs after this season. Scored 100+ last season

Canucks arent rebuilding as they are looking to take advantage of the years left that Q Hughes is making 7mil and Demko at 5mil.

IMO it would have to be something like:

1st, Perrault, Chytil, B Schneider

for JT Miller , Noah Juulsen

a 3rd team would probably have to get involved to make the cap fit as well.

Don’t see how it works unless it’s Kreider or Ziba and a pick for NYR.

And not sure why the Canucks would do that. Not really sure why they’d trade Miller in the first place unless there was a serious rift between him and the organization. And in those situations the fan base of the team isn’t gonna like the return but it generally works out alright.

Rangers aren’t just going to mortgage their future and add cap space to in turn just try and make a move of one of their contracts in a similar situation.

You need to lower your expectations. There’s no way Miller gets a package like that.

Haven't we been through this already, before Miller re-signed in Vancouver? Just go back and read our responses. They haven't changed.

But I know people are lazy, so I'll sum it up. You're nuts if you think you're getting anything close to that for Miller.

Can you even name a player that has brought back a package of that value? Serious question.

JT Miller isn’t breaking the trade market.

So the Rangers gave him way and then trade more to get him back. Only Drury would do something so dumb. Gross. Schneider is not available. Best RHD after Fox. I was pissed when the Rangers gave him away but to get him back and trade way more to bring him back would admit the Rangers organization does not know how to build a consistent winning team

I dont know any player coming off 99,82,103 point season in their prime and signed at a discount long term contract to be traded. So i dont think there would be a comparison. Thats also why i dont think JT will get moved.

M Tkachuk maybe? Coming off 100 point season and younger than JT. Makes more too tho.

Weegar - Top Pairing Dman
Huberdaeau- Elite Foward at the time/ 115 point season../Also had a 92 point season
1st round pick
Cole Schwindt ( 3rd rounder)

I think that package (without hindsight) is better than 1st, Perrault, Schneider, Chytil

I'll pull it up if needed, but I read something about Kreider having back issues. Could be why he is in trade talks. Schneider is probably the piece we need coming back. Zib could be used to make cap work over Kreider. What would it need to look like after that?

Package is insane for a near 32 year old. I understand the Rangers are set to win now. But that makes no sense for them to trade the pieces.

The fact that he is signed for 5 more years at 8 million is a huge positive in my opinion. He hasnt shown any signs of slowing down primarily because he doesnt have alot of miles on his body as he was under-utilized until coming to Van.

If he was a free agent rental he would easily get 1st and Perrault Chytil. Lesser forward rentals have obtained 1st and top prospects.

It’s a start the car and never look back kind of package. It really doesn’t make sense to sell off that much for an aging Miller. That would get you a nice cost controlled #2C with huge #1 upside(a trade unicorn of sorts)
