I actually respected this guy when he was the coach of the Blues, and even the success he has had with the Blackhawks. I just don't remember him acting so unprofessional behind the bench. He admitted his crotch grab and language to the officials was "bush league" after not getting the DOG call, but then goes nuts when Seabrook is tossed on an obvious illegal hit. Coach Q will stick up for his players on and off the ice, but is smart enough to know when his players are in the wrong.

I have lost all respect that I have had for him and it actually makes me happy to have a gargoyle like Hitchcock behind the bench that rarely (if ever) shows emotion.:shakehead

The crotch grab was hysterical. I don't care what anyone says

I also don't care about him yelling at the refs. Every coach in the game is going to yell at the refs when one of his most important players is ejected. He didn't see the hit clearly and was reacting in the heat of the moment. I don't understand how you can lose respect for someone because they argue a controversial call. He was the same way when he was here. He loves his players, he loves his team, and he's an ultra-competitive guy. I love that quite honestly.

I still respect him. I much prefer Quenneville than a guy like Patrick Roy who will go ******* on the bench, try to knock down the glass to get at the opposing coach, yell at opposing players and then call them gutless to the media. Now there's an idiot.

It's hard to dislike Quenneville. His entire look and demeanor just brings back too many memories, right down to the screaming at the officials with his right foot planted on the players bench.

Quenneville is a great coach and I have no problems with anything he did. He's a passionate man, but he's also stays accountable for his actions (the crotch grab).

I like him. I thought even prior to grabbing his balls he was a fiery guy. Maybe just slightly less animated. Pretty sure he has been fined before for having a big mouth (in the CHI-PHX series most recently?)

all around, the Hawks need to be more disciplined.

The emotion of Ken Hitchcock.

This is right on... :D

You'll notice that Q isn't being much of a tool now that his team's winning.

I agree with this and the original poster.

Back during Q's time in St. Louis, I was a Red Wings fan....I never found Q as hateable then as I do now.

He's a jerk. He has no class. Winning does tend to make people more arrogant and much more of a jerk.
