Stamkos sounds greek. But I could be wrong.

I have a friend that's greek with that last name, so i'd go with greek. I mean there are certain last names that can go for either ethnic group like Gill (white, black, brown) and what not. But Stamkos just sounds like a greek last name to me even if i didn't have a few friends with that last name.

Yeah, Greek was my first guess but figured I'd get the correct answer rather than draw from my limitless pool of wordly knowledge I posses . My parents first thought was Ukrainian, though that would work if it was "Stamko", the 's' changes things substantially.
