Does anyone know what Randy Cunneyworth is doing? We havn't heard a thing about him since he was let go. Is he coaching anywhere?

hehe randy ****ing cunneyworth... a black eye on the franchise. Would rather forget all about it than know where he is.

He's chilling the **** out in a chilling spot chilling with his money and chilling about the fact of coming back in the NHL with a chilling team. Chill as ****.

Blame the guy who put him here. Don't forget thanks to him we got Galchy.

Sure, PG was terribad.

Do you blame Corey for Tremblay too ? Just making sure you're consistent in your ideas.

You mean Rejean Houle? Sure

Corey was responsible for hiring Houle which lead to the hiring of Tremblay.

On the business side Corey did good by building the Bell Center.
How was the team under his management?
Replacing Savard by Houle:shakehead
You think Corey was good, fair or bad?

BTW, between Houle and Gauthier, I am not sure who is the worst.
Gauthier was only there one year and ended up giving us two 2nd rounder and a third pick.

One thing for sure, bringing a coach with no NHL experience to replace Martin was the most effective way to tank.
Maybe he did want to tank?

Well, hiring Houle was much much worse than hiring Tremblay. Hiring a GM is more important than a coach. And as you said, the hiring of Houle lead to the hiring of Tremblay.

But glad we're on the same page then.

Corey screwed the team by hiring Houle. That is quite possibly the worst decision ever made in the history of the franchise.

Gauthier was a weirdo who set up a bad culture within the team, but his hockey moves weren't all that terrible.

Houle really had no redeeming qualities other than being a nice guy.

I doubt that. No professional would ever consciously make a decision that would make the team worse without at least having a benefit long term.

Guy was doomed from the start. How many nhl coaches can say there were rallies outside the arena protesting their hiring?

He looked like a really nice guy and all, and I don't have anything against him personally. Also, you are 100% correct that his situation was horrible.

I hope the guy gets another shot somewhere. Everything about Montreal was chaos last season and he had to handle that as a rookie.

What a class act from the guy. Never said anything wrong, came into a crap situation don't think many assistant coach could of turn that ship around. Glad its over time to turn the page. Happy there some new french coach in the NHL too since we are going to need them in the future.

Gauthier was GM for more than 2 years, in his first year he gave away 3 2nd round draft picks and of course gave away some useful hockey players as well. He was a disaster no getting around that.

Wasnt there a thread last year where you guys confirmed cunneyworth was a Gauthier puppet?

I was just a lurker until about 2 weeks ago though so maybe im wrong

Unfortunately he was, however, after the debacle that happened here I dont see him ever returning with this organization.

Wouldn't blame him one bit. Always felt he was thrown under the bus and IMO deserves a second try at the coaches chair. One with a team that hires more for coaching skill over if you speak the right language.

I actually didn't think the team looked too bad under RC after years of Gainey/Martin ultra-defensive hockey. He had more of a forechecking style. But he was the wrong guy at the wrong place at the wrong time, with the wrong face and wrong sleepers. Hope he lands on his feet and coach somewere else.
