How much action do you see Vasilevskiy getting with Nabokov out, and when do you guys think he becomes a starter sitting behind Bishop? I think with Bishop's injury history Vasilevskiy has a good shot at getting a lot of reps going forward

There is really no way to know, it feels as if Vasy will be up at least until the trade deadline and then it will depend on if Yzerman feels he needs a backup with some more expereince or not. There is a possibilty that when TDL has come and gone and they didn't pick up a backup goalie and that Vasy will go back down to be a starter for SYC if they make the AHL playoffs and the team will bring up Kristers Gudlevskis as a backup if TBL get into the playoffs. There is still a lot of 'if's going forward but Yzerman is a smart man and will make the choices he see fit that will help the team.

For the month of February though TBL will only play 12 games but they are all against western teams and there will be 3 sets of b2b so we can assume that he at least will get 3 starts, then if he gets 1,2 or 3 more than that who knows but I hope he does, it will be a good test for him.

He'll get some starts. More than a normal backup, I think. We're not calling him up to not play - depending on how he fairs it may be a split start scenario.

I still expect a move for a rental backup at the deadline, but until then, let him play.

It means he's going to play in the NHL. We have a lot of back-to-backs coming up during Wild West Month™ , so he'll get some games in.
