The problem is that most of the guys you’d want to put on his line to do the heavy lifting defensively and on the boards to make his game remotely functional at that level of competition are also just flat out more impactful than him and should be the ones getting linemates to complement their games instead of the other way around.

Instead of forcing some combination of Wilson, Bennett, Konecny, Hagel, Jarvis with him on the 4th line to cover for the lack of defense and physicality, I’d rather just build a wrecking ball 4th line or speedy utility checking line around those guys and lean into their skill sets instead of making them babysit someone.
