Things are pretty wide open. But obviously, some teams who get knocked out in the first round will look to make changes and that usually starts behind the bench,

What coaches are on the hot seat?

Depends on how they get ousted. 4 game sweep and it doesn't look close, then Hynes seat will have to be at least warm, especially if there are no significant injuries. A 6 or 7 games loss with some close games, he'll be fine.

None from the East should be on the hit seat. They either just resigned or won a cup recently or we're just hired.

1st season
Keefe
Berube
Arniel
Montgomery
Green

2nd season or beyond that exceeded expectations
Carbery
Hiller
St. Louis
Hynes?

Significant tenure
Cooper
Bednar
Brind'Amour

High level success recently
Maurice
Knoblauch
Cassidy

DeBoer doesn't fall into any of those groups. Dallas got a bad hand with injuries, though.

Such arbitrary classifications.

Yeah.

Good coach, but 9 seasons and only passed the second round once(2022 Cup win).

Unforgivable given having MacKinnon and Makar in their prime + GM went all-in this year.
I hear you.. and yeah jesus its been 9 yrs

Although i have a hard time pinning the nuke bomb on him that f***ed them up so bad.. last year was a massive letdown however

Right. The garbage roster in 2023 beyond the top guys is on Bednar. Ryan Johansen is on Bednar. Trading Byram who had as many points as a D for Mittelstadt is on Bednar. Lars Ellars is on Bednars. Going into 2023 with a 3rd pairing making 11M is on Bednar. The Kadri and Nichushkin suspensions are also on Bednar too? If these are the two things not on MacFarland, then it's obviously on Bednar, right?

With their injuries that gives him an out.

I would go the other way and say if Dallas manages to beat Colorado without Robertson and Hieskanen that should get Bednar fired
Ehh Deboer is a shit coach thats never gotten the job done. Plus they'd likely be a #1 destination for Carle

I highly doubt Bednar goes anywhere.

Bednar if Carle is available.

I might do that swap regardless of what happens in the playoffs, sans a Cup win.

Who said it's all his fault?

He's been the coach for 9 years and has gotten past the second round one single time with arguably the best forward and defense generational duo in 30+ years.

Messages get stale, sometimes you need a change.

Keep getting defensive, John.

Kevyn Ad......

Wait....Can't be on the hot seat if they didn't get knocked out in the first round.
