I'm legit sad that CapFriendly is no more. Easily a top 5 visited website by me. I haven't seen any NHL cap website anywhere close to it. Hopefully one day there will be another one close to how stellar it was.

In the meantime...What is everyone using to get league-wide cap information for each player/team....?

It's happened over and over not just with hockey stuff.

Big companies buy these smaller companies that get really popular, and it's hard to know why. Did the Caps "coincidence" buy them to use them or kill them?

I'd love to know. Was it the Caps idea, or the NHL? Who knows.

But there always comes an alternative.

For me that's PuckPedia - NHL Salary Cap, Player Contracts and Salary Cap Analysis | Puckpedia

Really it's like trying to find a new torrent site..........they just come and go.

Yet, hard to understand the CapFriendly thing. Do the Capitals now employee these people? It's really interesting and I'd love to know more but doubt I'll ever find out what's going on with this.

As a fan it absolutely feels like a slap in the face.

I find myself enjoying my life a lot more since Capfriendly went dark. I'm hardly wasting any time on here and online looking at pointless trade proposals and rosters that will never happen. Best thing to ever happen.
