On the heels of my Stadium Journey I was just wondering where I stand in terms of how many different places you have all seen an NHL game...

I will list the three defunct ones first
The Forum
Boston Garden
Hartford Civic Center
The Spectrum (was for an AHL game)

Staples
Pond
Fleet Center (I don't care that they call it TD Garden now, it's NOT the Garden and never will be)
Bell Centre
MSG
Prudential Center
Nassau County (soon to join the defunct list)
Wells Fargo Center

Now comes the fun of trying to decide which one(s) to do next.

Not a huge list for me.

Staples
Anaheim
Washington DC
Florida

Also:
Forum
Las Vegas

+ other places for numerous AHL/ECHL games

Forum
Staples
Pond
RBC Center in Raleigh
Verizon Center in DC

Oh and I drove past the HP Pavillion in SJ

LA (old and new)
Anaheim
San Jose
Detroit
Chicago
St. Louis
Nashville
Minnesota (Frozen Four)
Colorado (Frozen Four)
Pittsburgh (the Igloo)
MSG (Basketball game)

Also been lucky enough to go to outdoor games at Wrigley Field, Michigan Stadium, Camp Randall and Jacobs Field. Although only Wrigley was for an NHL game.

Staples Center and Xcel Energy Center were the two nicest I've been to, IMO.

Staples
Maple Leaf Gardens (Toronto)
ACC (Toronto)
The Aud (Buffalo)
First Niagara Centre (Buffalo)
The Joe (Detroit)
The Saddledome (Calgary)
Rexall Place (Edmonton)
Bell Centre (Montreal)
Canadian Tire Centre (Ottawa)
Nationwide Arena (Columbus)

Nostalgia wise MLG was pretty cool and so was the Aud just because the rink was smaller dimension wise. The arena seemed like a tighter fit and you seemed to be on top of the rink due to the way the upper deck was constructed

Staples was the nicest. Edmonton was a bit of a dump.

MGM
The Garage (Vancouver - don't know what they call it now, but I liked that nickname)

I think I'm one of the few people that actually like the Pond better than Staples. While Staples is a nicer/newer facility, the Pond has better site lines IMO. I couldn't care less about the first class accomadations that Staples has, I'm there to watch a hockey game, not fine dining or a vacation. I also don't get the complaints about stairs to the upper deck at the Pond. Unless you have a legitimate handicap (not obesity), stop being lazy. The upper deck at Staples is so far from the ice compared to every other arena I've been to. The view at the Phoenix and Nashville arenas from the upper decks are an incredible value. I'd never buy a ticket to sit down low at those arenas if they weren't so cheap.

The major downsides to the pond are the Duck fans there, the cameras in the upper deck and the horrible parking situation. Some of the employees there are resentful of Kings fans too but I guess that is understandable with some of the buffonery that goes on there (that includes Duck fans, I've seen idiots on both sides of the equation including myself being flicked off by 15-someting year old girl unprovoked).

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of Staples unless you are sitting in the lower bowl or in the Suites/PR level. I only do that every so often.

I've seen the Kings on the road in the following cities:

NYC (Rangers)
NJ
Boston
Montreal
Toronto
Tampa Bay
Miami
Chicago
Dallas
Anaheim
San Jose
DC

That is true, as to be expected with three levels of suites around the entire building. Obviously it kind of screwed over the people in the cheap seats, especially basketball fans. The court must look tiny up that high

Staples Center - Probably most proud to say I was there for the Frenzy on Figueroa game.

Anaheim - Was there for games 4/6 of the 2003 Finals. Even if you hate the Devils, you should always be thankful that they prevented the words "Mighty Ducks" from being on the Cup.

San Jose - Went up there for a Devils game ~2006. Ended up on TV during the intermission as the token 'pan the crowd for the opposing jersey' shot.

Vancouver - Visited friends in Seattle in 2009. Drove across the border for a preseason game.

NY Islanders - Never been to their actual stadium but attended a preseason game this year at Barclays Center. To my surprise that was a hard ticket to get. Hats off to the Islanders fans for buying up those tickets to check out their eventual new home.

Phoenix
Minnesota - Went for 2011 Draft, haven't seen an actual game
Washington
New Jersey

Vegas (Frozen Fury)
Dodger Stadium
Yankee Stadium

Seattle (WHL)
Plymouth (OHL)
University of Michigan (NCAA)

I don't go to many basketball games but I took an ex-ladyfriend to a few games at Staples on my dime so we sat in the cheapseats and we once went to Phoenix at the America West Arena. The view is night and day. If you are not in the three center court sections of the 300 level for a basketball game, it is almost impossible to even watch the game. Even then, the view is still pretty bad. I'm all for AEG making all the money they can but the cheapseats at Staples suck compared to a lot of other arenas. I bet Chicago is equally as bad judging by how big that place is.

ITT: a lot of lucky and well-traveled folks.

i've only seen NHL-level play at Staples, but pretty often make it to the local ECHL games. i've also seen the WHL Spokane Chiefs in their arena, that was fun. have also been in much smaller barns (where the hot chocolate is $1) for high school games. i've driven BY Fleet Center/TD Garden, if that counts. hahaha.
