As the title reads, wondering what the craziest stats you’ve ever seen from a player? I’m thinking primarily of NHL or former NHL players, though not necessarily from the NHL. For instance:

-Brian McGrattan set an AHL record in ‘04-‘05 with the Binghamton Senators with 551 PIMs on the season. Despite spending an average of almost 8 minutes per game on average in the box, he still managed 7 goals somehow

-Peter Sarno led the OHL in points in ‘97-‘98 with 121. He also somehow had the worst plus/minus in the league at -42.

-Jaromir Jagr played 1 game in ‘94-‘95 with the Schalker Sharks in the 1st German league. He had 11 points (1g, 10a)

My favourite Ovechkin one:

In the past 16 years that Ovechkin has played in the NHL, since the beginning of his career, he has won as many Rocket Richard trophies as the rest of the NHL combined during that time.

There have been 7 different winners who total for 9 Rocket trophies over those 16 years. Ovechkin alone has won 9 Rocket trophies.
I do not know when we will witness that level of dominance in an entire aspect of the game again. Maybe when McDavid racks up 8 Art Rosses all to himself.

Brenden Shanahan had 1354 points
2489 pims and two 50 goal seasons..

And pounded Adam foot on the regular ( not really a stat)

Also had a great story about his first NHL game.

Tony Hand is the greatest hockey player in history that nobody has ever heard of

On March 11, 1979, Randy Holt (LAK) got 67 PIMs in a single game (against the Flyers, obvs). "All told, Holt was given nine penalties: one minor, three majors, two 10-minute misconducts, and three game misconducts."
Randy Holt's Record-Setting Night

On March 31, 1996, Tommy Soderstrom (NYI) played goalie for 10 seconds. He faced 1 shot from the Rangers, which he failed to save, resulting in a record-setting GAA of 360.00
