GBU What a f***ing disaster

Got around to watching that third for curiosity sake... sure the whole team sucked but didn't particularly like Comrie. 4 of the last 5 goals were just snipes from the top of the circle, not overly screened or anything I don't think. As much as we need the entire team defense to be better... the goalie needs to also like, stop shots.

Let's not act like Comrie was good last night. He wasn't. He just didn't let in any soft goals (which is what Comrie is, he makes the saves he should make, but cannot be counted on to consistently make big saves)

This game was much the same as out 6-5 win against Minnesota. The difference was the Minnesota goalie was a little worse than was the Dallas goalie last night (and the Dallas netminder was BAD last night), while UPL made more big saves.

That said, when a goalie steals a win with a 6-5 score, you know the team played shit defense
He stopped at least 3 breakaways. He didn't really let the floodgates open til about halfway through the 3rd period but it was actually somewhat good goaltending to keep it 5-3 before that.

I don't think it is fair to put any goals on a goalie who his coach refuses to relieve after his Defense hangs him out to dry for 5+ goals.

At a certain point, a goalie that isn't pulled is going to be so pissed that his head isn't even in it, and may even let goals in on purpose (see Patrick Roy). The fact he was making saves on breakaways after the 9th goal actually is pretty impressive. Not many goalies in any league would still be trying very hard at that point.

It was still a game at 5-3 with time left in the third. It wasn't a good or pretty game, but it was still a game.

Comrie isn't Patrick Roy.
