Its a site wide mod issue. I get that there is no free speech on here but one group gets make fun of, mock, goad, flame, troll and incite while the other gets modded into oblivion, and it spilled on to our board, not just the main board, this thread got hardcore modded as well

I reported threeonzero for trolling cause surprise he was, half an hour later he's still posting while my posts are being edited, for nothing other than being an Oilers fan and stating things that are clear as day on video... So I reported more of his posts, then I loose my report privileges

It also should alert the league that they may need to close this loophole. If the refs feel an infraction was done intentionally to circumvent the delayed penalty situation in the last minute, they will let play proceed. If time expiries without a goal or change in possession, they can call the penalty and roll back the clock to the time of the infraction.

Totally irrelevant. Holding is not a major crime, and the sequence in which this happened happens a 1000x in the NHL.

we’ve got nothing to feel triggered about when it comes to the irrelevant franchise you cheer for. Oilers lost a close game but are still a top team in the standings, your teams Stanley Cup win over the Oilers didn’t even get them in a playoff spot lol.

And we know that series loss is going to hurt for a long time, just like it would have hurt us if we lost that series. What happened again? The Oilers won that series, right? Remember game 7 in Van when hometown boy Nugent-Hopkins scored the game winner that eliminated your team from the playoffs? Remember that? Who’s triggered again?

But it never really took off and stalled out as only the Oilers board was active. Though I think that was almost 20 years ago now, man I’m starting to feel old.

When Crosby was breaking into the league he was getting like, hundreds of PPs. The Oilers are not getting all that many PPs, ultimately, both relative to the rest of the league and all-time. They’re not getting the kind of love Crosby got thats for sure.

Welcome to moderating inequities of HFBoards. Many of us have felt their wrath while watching other posters skate free for similar discretions. It happens unfortunately.

I don't know wth happened here but when I have time I will be going through everything and if anyone would like to PM me feel free to do so. It is against HF rules to openly question and rip moderation as well as talk about moderation actions. That said if you feel like you were treated unjustly or feel like something was unfair feel free to reach out to me and I can give it a second set of eyes and then if it warrants it I can take it higher up the ladder. This goes for all topics, warnings, etc. The reality is that we don't always have a HFOil mod on at all times and that we have outside mods that step in when there are reports and none of us are around.

So upon going through the thread starting from page 12 or 13 I get that there are a lot of ticked off Oilers fans. I know that there is a sense of bias on the main boards and I am not here to tell anyone how they should feel and if they are right or wrong in that matter. My advice is to avoid the unfriendly parts of this board or at least to limit your intake. There are posters there that get their jollies from trolling Oilers (and other) fans. Since it is considered neutral the definition of trolling there is different than it is on team's home board. I see that some of you felt like a particular Canucks mod was deleting your posts after he made a post here. Well he cannot do that any more than I could do that on any other HF board since we are both local mods for one board. The only mods that can mod multiple boards would be those with purple (Global Mods) or Dark Blue (Team Leaders/Admins) on their names. At the end of the day talking about moderation on the open board is the wrong way to go about things and it will invite outside mods to moderate when us locals aren't on. If you guys have an issue with moderation reach out to me and I can go over it by a case by case basis. We are all volunteers and we all make mistakes from time to time. As far as the moderation in this thread, I don't see any issues with what was done. This is my jurisdiction and I want our posters to enjoy themselves here and if I felt like our board was unfairly treated here I would say something about it. The mains are a whole different kind of animal so just keep that in mind. Hopefully we win the cup this season and all the haters can suck it.
