NHL will play this like Pietrangelo and Nurse, and give them each a game.

Though I'd be tempted to argue McDavid's crosscheck was somewhere between a 2 and 5. He got Garland in the neck, but he didn't jump into like in the Matthews' example.

Myers' one was far more vicious imo.


Though I expect the Oilers will take this chance to put the refs on blast during the call, like the Flames did a few years back.

This team has 2 of the highest scoring players, along with a style that focuses on controlling the puck for the entire game, and yet they can't get calls? I'm not even asking for rates like COL or TB, how about even middle of the pack? They're currently 30th in the league.

Also classic horrible reffing at the end. Zero control of the game. Had a chance to diffuse the situation and refs sat in their whistles and the result is what happened.

A lot of those troll posters buddy up with them on the mains GDT every day, probably why they let them get away with lots.
 
As far as Myers is concerned the talk is going to be about the cross check he gave Bouchard. What I hope isn’t overlooked is the elbow he delivered to Bouchard's face against the boards after the play had already been whistled down for McDavid’s cross check. It was a good one as Bouchard was checking his face for damage before the two of them engaged again. Two dirty plays from Myers after the play had ended. I’d hope both are considered when his suspension is handed out.

f*** I hate the Canucks so f***ing much. I get we were out of gas, but like put some pucks on net instead of trying to pass in a lot of situations in that third. 3 shots? Jesus. I don't know what it is with that f***ing team, but they have our number in the reg, and it's f***ing frustrating. Was in and out for small periods during the first so I missed the reffing. How bad were the penalties called? Saw they missed the obvious trip on Nurse on one of their PP goals. Spotting the other team a few goals was bound to catch up to them though.

Their "analysis" to just give both McDavid and Myers each 5 minute penalties and 2 game suspension is frustrating. The only reason McDavid was passed off was because Garland was wrapping his legs around him and molesting him. The refs didn't do their job and prevented any kind of comeback. Meanwhile, Bouchard did what to Myers? Looked at him? One is a superstar trying to stand up for all the crap the refs blatantly ignore. The other is a goon who was completely unprovoked.

This would like in school for suspending the bully and the guy getting bullied for "fighting".

This is the moment the NHL didn’t want but now that it’s here we should capitalize on it. Blow this up into a big debate about whether or not McDavid has the right to be frustrated with all the missed calls that he has to fight through. Make the league uncomfortable with the discussion.

Then maybe we’ll see some change.

If this is a moment the NHL didn't want they sure have a funny way of showing it. They've clearly shown they don't give a shit about their marquee player and are more than willing to let it come to this.

What do you mean "turn into" this is a constant state of being for Nucks fans. When they got nothing Cucks to brag about their busy destroying Granville Street or Surrey or rioting anywhere any weekend.
