Hey folks,

With all the uncertainty and negativity surrounding this team lately, I've found it harder and harder to actually talk hockey before it devolves into some bash fest of the team. Let's put all of that behind us for a moment, have some fun, and talk hockey.

What's the weirdest, most unique play you've ever seen in a game as a fan, or been involved in as a player?

For me personally, the one that jumps out to me when I think about this, is that game the Bruins had against the Hurricanes in 2010 (April 10th I believe), when they scored 3 SHG in the same PK. As a fan, I've never seen anything like that. Just crazy.

I'd love to hear other's thoughts, with video if possible.

Thanks everyone.

That bruins/habs game from 2011 where it was like 8-6 and there were literally five skaters left on the bench, five guys in the penalty box and rest ejected was pretty crazy

Hal Gill in OT gets out of penalty box for a breakaway and shoots it over the glass while in the slot...not the net...the freaking glass. He goes back to the bench and Rolston gives him a good field goal sign

Two things:

1. About five years ago in a Bruins home game, the puck went out of play THRU THE PHOTO HOLE IN THE GLASS!

2. Washington 2002, opening night. Peter Bondra misses high on a breakaway....puck hits the glass behind the net hard enough to bounce back over the net and off the Nashville goalie's back and into the net.

Flames vs Bruins in calgary when the guy jumped over the glass totally naked and was going to go for a run, only to slip on the ice and totally smash his head.

Couldn't find video but I found this

Lol - this was the first thing I thought of as well. Poor guy knocked himself out cold, wearing nothing but a pair of red socks... Who knew streaking could be so dangerous!

Pacioretty getting destroyed by Chara with a legal hit in the stanchion 2011

Even crazier was the criminal investigation over said legal hit. I will literally never understand that. That circus side show that unfolded in Montreal actually surpasses anything I've witnessed in a game on the craziness scale.

Mine wasn't NHL. I was in a Midget tournament. My team was already in the finals and we were watching the other semi final, One team was up 3-2 with virtually no time left. The opposing team fired the puck the length of the ice in desperation. The opposing goalie for some reason came out to play the puck but mishandled it and inadvertently deflected the puck into his own net. They went on to lose in Ot. Man that goalie must have been unpopular! We beat them in the final by the way. lol

Joe Thornton returns to the Garden as a Shark after being traded. Throws a check on Hal Gill along the boards. Gets ejected.

the Garden was like a morgue after that the entire game. :amazed:
