This is what I expected to happen.

Wedgewood gets Utah tonight, Blackwood will get 2-3 practices in before his debut on Saturday night against Nashville.

Thus avoiding one of Wedgie’s starts to be against his former team. I actually am all for it.

I feel that Wedgewood should start against San Jose as well. No point in playing into the added drama if you’re trying to stabilize the psyche of the team.

I'm fairly certain that pic of Mitts could be used as evidence in a sexual harrassment in the workplace suit.

Excuse me, I'm going to go rinse my eyes out with peroxide and chlorine now.

Can’t say enough good things about Sam Malinski. Had to fill in for Manson, and he’s done a really great job. For what he lacks in size, he makes up with transition ability. Unreal skater.

I was one of the guys upset about losing Sean Walker, but this guy is Sean Walker for 1/4 of the price.
100% I'd love to see him in Sammy g's role if not for RH. hopefully they sign him cheap and he gets a chance to play higher up for a bit could be an excellent contract or trade bait.

This was the unit that was really dominating at the start of the season, right? Hopefully they can reproduce the same kind of results. However, I'm still very concerned about zone entries. Teams that stop MacK's drop pass stymie us all night long.

I don't understand this move.

The problem isn't 62 and 13. The problem is MacKinnon and Rantanen standing still hoping for cross ice one timers and Makar's sudden refusal to shoot pucks.

29 is the biggest issue plaguing the PP now.

I do mostly agree, but Lehky in the bumper hasn't been working that well. He's not getting free enough and when MacK tries the bumper pass, his shots aren't going in, or he whiffs big-time leading to a turnover.

Colton I can understand but not much of a fan of Mittelstadt on the powerplay.

For a unit that never wins faceoffs, having puck retrieval guy is important. They just removed 2 of them.

They never dump in on the PP though. To be fair most teams don't, but we don't really need puck retrieval if the plan is to break in with control. The problem has been, that they can't do that lately.

I would still prefer Nuke over Mitts though. Nuke has a much better net front presence and can absolutely get the dirty goals.

Eh, Nuke hasn’t been doing what he needs to in order to be effective on the power play. At least with Colton they got a guy who can actually play as the triggerman in the slot.

But yes I agree with you on everything else. They just don’t have a lot of confidence shooting the puck right now. They’re at “Michael Porter Slumping” levels of inaccuracy, winging shots all over the place.

But that's why you keep 13 and 62 and you tell the other three just get pucks on net and let them go to work, stop trying to pick corners and score highlight reel goals.

Mostly the problem isnt even the scoring since they are just passing the puck to Makar and back. When Mack and Rantanen are kept busy powerplay looks awful. If the other team turtles near the net then Avs have a change but that doesnt happen anymore since they have figured Avs out and Bednar & co. wont adapt.

Just changing personel isnt gonna cut it.
