Will fix everything
Can I just say, Josh Allen has definitively taken a step. This was the type of game where he'd get frustrated and throw a pick or do a dumb run leading to a fumble.

I don't really like the TD toss into double coverage while in the grasp, but I trust his athleticism enough to make that work.

We have Josh Allen at the peak of his powers......Beane should go out and find someone to help stop the run.

what the heck is going on with the defensive line. No pressure, can't stop the run. I feel like on 70% of the run plays the safeties were forced to make the tackle.
They were getting plenty of pressure against Seattle. And stopped the run.
They got a ton of pressure on Rudolph and did OK against the run.
We got OK pressure against the Jets, but couldn't stop the run.

Do not judge the D-line on this game. Miami's whole shtick offensively is to not get Tua off script. Their whole idea is to get the ball out of his hands QUICK. We were not ever going to get pressure on Tua. I have an issue that our D-line wasn't getting their hands up -- something we've done VERY well against Tua historically.

Is our D-line weak against the run? I mean, it's our weakpoint, yes. If our LBs could shed blocks, it would help tremendously.

No one has said that, but his red flag or whomever was telling him to use it was beyond comprehension and continues a pattern. His use and waste of time outs at times is questionable.
He has to listen to his advisor. They have to make the decision before the snap. If you hire a pro you have got to trust them, we've seen them miss challenges earlier in the season.

I think it spots where you don’t mind stopping the clock, taking a risky challenge is fine. Miami just converted a 4th and 1 and they had a short window to call the challenge. My guess is they said it was close and McDermott took a calculated risk.

I have talked about this before here, but good offenses should just start going to two points every TD until the situation really demands just an extra point
It's funny this conversation happened earlier during our game...because Nick Sirianni basically did this in the Eagles game today. Went for 2 three times, didn't get any of them (and only the last one made "sense" by the chart to make it a 14 point game)...had the Eagles blown that game oh boy he would have been crucified.

Thing is, it's also a nuanced conversation. On two of the 3 (the two that made the least sense).....Jacksonville took a penalty that made the 2-point conversion from the 1 yard line instead of the 2.

And given Hurts' success rate on the Tush Push............sure seemed like a gimmie. Problem is, the Tush Push failed twice.

If McDermott got an opportunity to go for 2 points from the 1 yard line and didn't...............he'd be absolutely crucified.

Mid season eval.....on playoffs

It looks like in the AFC yor likely div winners are BUF, HOzu, KC, and PIT/ BAL
PIT/BAL is #5
The last 2 seeded are up for graves and their likely record is 9-8

In the NFC..

West is wide open
South is ATL/TB
North DET/MIN/GB one wins D, one is #5
East its WAS/PHL

Beane needs to find an upgrade for the LB group. Even if they are banking on Milano’s return, I doubt he’ll be at a place where you won’t need to rotate him out.
Yeah I'm all for Williams getting reps, but the he got exposed in a way that could sink their playoff hopes against certain teams.

LB, 1-tech, and safety remain the obvious biggest needs entering the deadline.

I really love the way Neal and Poyer stepped up for the Bills today
Yeah, they’ve been pretty quiet for us all year. You’d think that they were somewhere else, but when we needed them to step up there they were. But they seem to step up for the Miami games, I’m expecting the same quiet games going forward…

When Waddle got hurt, he came out but they could not get another play off due to the two minute warning. He was back on the field for the next play. I thought players had to sit out one play when they get injured. Did this rule change.
