He’s too unpolished as a passer, but they now don’t have the patience to do anything but to run the plays that will work, and his natural instinct will be to take off and run, and he has no clock on his head. This is why you don’t take projects and toolsy quarterbacks so high in the draft. Anyone who wonders ‘what if’ with Trey Lance, it’s probably similar.
