I have to admit, I'm no statistician and I get that espn and other win probability simulators are based on repeated sims, but I'm finding them kind of fascinating (maybe more fascinating than today's game). I have the game on my phone and espn in the background. Bills get 1st down, probability of win switches to 51% Buffalo, fail on 1st down, goes back to NE, punt, goes to 57% NE (Bills had downed it near 1) and all of a sudden it just went to Buffalo 60% (not sure why, I closed the game for a minute while I type this). Maybe there was a turnover or something while I was typing (ok, I saw the score changed to 16-14 on espn while I am still typing).

Botched handoff by NE, loose ball recovered by Solomon.

Still worried kicking might bite us in the ass in the playoffs.

I'm more worried about XPs than I am FGs. He seems to be in a groove making FGs.....but he's in his own head with XPs I think.

Bass needs to be upgraded next year.

Don't think it'd give us much cap space to cut him. I'm fine with bringing in competition for him......but straight up replacing him might be difficult cap-wise.

Bass is just playing 4D chess to make sure it's not a 3 point game to reduce possibility of OT. Nothing to worry about.

I mean, seriously. How much of a non-statement can you make. This guy: Yes.

Players driven league as opposed to what. A league that's decided by the refs? The weather? Randomness?
Coming up with things to say that make sense during an almost meaningless live game as a commentator while also avoiding any kind of controversy at all costs seems to be a very peculiar art form.

That said.......we're basically playing a VERY vanilla Cover 2 or man-to-man on pretty much every play.

When the extra points were from the 2 yard line (meaning a 19 yard kick), misses were extraordinarily rare.

Now, the make rate is somewhere around 95%.

Well thanks to Bass missing an EP we are losing again.

He's been very impressive.

He’d be the perfect back up behind Josh. Similar style that could get us by in a few games stylistically.

Keep in mind the NFL moved back the line of scrimmage for extra points back to the 15 some years ago - which is about a 32 yard field goal. League average is generally around 94% from that range.

Bass is 59/64 now, so below average (92.1%), but not significantly so, and he's still pretty solidly above average for his career (96.3%)

I'd be more worried about the game possibly going into OT. That would be worst case scenario had he made it.

Surely the Bucs won't blow their season by losing to the Saints at home?? 19-13 Saints in the 3rd, though the Falcons are also tied with Carolina 24-24 and would have to win to send Tampa home.
