Botched handoff by NE, loose ball recovered by Solomon.I have to admit, I'm no statistician and I get that espn and other win probability simulators are based on repeated sims, but I'm finding them kind of fascinating (maybe more fascinating than today's game). I have the game on my phone and espn in the background. Bills get 1st down, probability of win switches to 51% Buffalo, fail on 1st down, goes back to NE, punt, goes to 57% NE (Bills had downed it near 1) and all of a sudden it just went to Buffalo 60% (not sure why, I closed the game for a minute while I type this). Maybe there was a turnover or something while I was typing (ok, I saw the score changed to 16-14 on espn while I am still typing).
Still worried kicking might bite us in the ass in the playoffs.
Don't think it'd give us much cap space to cut him. I'm fine with bringing in competition for him......but straight up replacing him might be difficult cap-wise.Bass needs to be upgraded next year.
Kickers are fickle. He might come in next year and not miss a darned thing. How does he suck so bad at kicking?!
There's a reason Archuleta is on CBS's like 4th or 5th team.Just heard the sentence "it is a players driven league" in all seriousness from the color announcer.
I mean, seriously. How much of a non-statement can you make. This guy: Yes.
Players driven league as opposed to what. A league that's decided by the refs? The weather? Randomness?
Coming up with things to say that make sense during an almost meaningless live game as a commentator while also avoiding any kind of controversy at all costs seems to be a very peculiar art form.
I’m still learning the sport and it blows my mind! A kicker should practically never miss an extra point, you’d think!Kickers are fickle. He might come in next year and not miss a darned thing.
He's been very impressive.I'm too lazy to look up my own posts last offseason, but I was a big proponent of taking Milton as a developmental QB behind Allen.
Nope. They wanted to see how Milton is progressing. Is Maye hurt ?
That said.......we're basically playing a VERY vanilla Cover 2 or man-to-man on pretty much every play. He's been very impressive.
When the extra points were from the 2 yard line (meaning a 19 yard kick), misses were extraordinarily rare.I’m still learning the sport and it blows my mind! A kicker should practically never miss an extra point, you’d think!
He did get banged up last week though he finished the game, but I think this is aIs Maye hurt ?
No they want to evaluate their other rookie QB who’s played very well.Is Maye hurt ?
He’d be the perfect back up behind Josh. Similar style that could get us by in a few games stylistically. He's been very impressive.
Well thanks to Bass missing an EP we are losing again.
Keep in mind the NFL moved back the line of scrimmage for extra points back to the 15 some years ago - which is about a 32 yard field goal. League average is generally around 94% from that range.I’m still learning the sport and it blows my mind! A kicker should practically never miss an extra point, you’d think!
I'd be more worried about the game possibly going into OT. That would be worst case scenario had he made it.Fine by me. Bass was just helping to ensure the Pats don't get the #1 pick
Rather win.Fine by me. Bass was just helping to ensure the Pats don't get the #1 pick
