Steelers are not going to help us. It’s the same story since Big Ben fell off: mediocre at best offense needs the defense to drag them kicking and screaming to victories, and they can’t do enough against top tier offenses

Im not a man of faith, but even I'm praying to the football gods that Denver or Miami wins tomorrow. Burrow is the boogeyman.

The Dolphins record without Tua is terrible. That's a 50/50 game. I'm afraid we're going to rely on Denver beating KC. The Chiefs have Reid. Im still not comfortable with that game, either.
Hoping Huntley can continue his success from last week and the Jets are too demoralized to even try to spoil things

Feels like a game that the speed of Fields probably helps Pittsburgh more than Wilson’s limitations. It’s not as if Cincy has a solid defense.

The time management on the last drive was so horrendous. Wilson is a veteran who HAS to know better, but then how do you not call the timeout there? How do coaches continue to make this mistake? Bears, Falcons, Steelers...you CANNOT let that much time run down while you try to get guys back to the LOS.

I thought they took the last timeout at the right time :dunno:

Ideally it's for the kicker but the sack forced their hand. I don't think any of the previous plays took too long where they needed to call time out

It's on Wilson as it shoulda been spiked after the 3rd and 9 conversion. To then scramble and take a sack is just, asinine. The second Russ f***ed up the 1st down the game was basically over but I think you still call the TO there. Burning 14 seconds even without a sack is inexcusable

If Tomlin didn't look cool and wasn't a part of this Pittsburgh coaching lineage, I wonder if he'd be on the hot seat. He seems to struggle with some basic stuff.

Then again, he has had to work with trash at QB for years now...

Will fix everything
Oof Pittsburgh. You really wrecking my plans. Assuming the chargers win this ruins my ideal playoff scenario

Chargers beat ravens, we beat whoever, we play winner of Houston/pittsburgh.

NOW the best scenario is:

Pittsburgh beats the ravens (ugh), we play the winner of chargers/texans.

The problem is the chargers could give the chiefs a tough game. The Steelers???? Not so sure.

He gets a lot of rope for winning with those quarterbacks, but he DEFINITELY is old-school AF with his game management decisions. Glad to see him coaching some other team in our conference.

OC Ken Dorsey fired by the Browns along with OL coach Andy Dickerson per Schefter.
If yesterdays was a taste of Dorsey's evolution as a playcaller, it's well-deserved.

Might be a good day for a long dog walk here in Lancaster
Just look at it like a pre season game for Buffalo. The results don’t matter. lol

Also, as of now the patriots hold the #1 overall pick. I’d almost rather they win today than get a big draft haul for #1OA.

And I want them to keep Jerod Mayo as head coach. I don’t want Vrabel is New England!
So if a good showing today saves Mayo’s job, I’m good with that

I really wish they had elevated a RB and WR. Not thrilled with the number of snaps Davis, Johnson, and Shakir/Coleman will have to take

That first series was Dorsey is a nutshell. Good 1st down pass for 20 yards, followed by 3 HB dives and a punt.
Dorsey has always been an abandon the run, pass as much as possible type. That series felt like Stefanski wrestling control back before Dorsey and Zappe could ruin the tank.

I would imagine that Samuel takes most of the snaps as the nominal WR1 and Hollins as the WR2. Frankly, Coleman needs snaps against NFL caliber CBs (yes, NE has them). I highly doubt we're going to run many 4 WR sets....so I wouldn't be surprised if Shakir only gets a handful of snaps.

I'm fine with Davis getting the bulk of the work.
