Most teams don't have more than a couple. More than a few top teams will have 0 or 1 after this week. Both teams combined have 1 win (Penn St vs Illinois early in the year) vs ranked teams. Sad.

It's 1 win when they played them. Granted some teams move in and out of the rankings but for two teams like that to have 1 combined is sad. Each one's non con schedule was weak too. Most teams don't have more than a couple. More than a few top teams will have 0 or 1 after this week.
Eh, if you beat a ranked team early, before committee rankings come out, and they fall apart, it's not really considered a ranked win I believe when serious discussions are happening. It's 1 win when they played them. No but it's better than not having any, period, like Miami. The fact they're still being considered is ludicrous.Eh, if you beat a ranked team early, before committee rankings come out, and they fall apart, it's not really considered a ranked win I believe when serious discussions are happening.
It’s that but Texas defence is also insanely elite.Texas A&M needs to get better QB play. The fact they got where they were without a good one is a miracle.
Sure, neither team have lost to Northern Illinois type of an opponent also. It’s not their fault Big Ten had a terrible year. Both teams combined have 1 win (Penn St vs Illinois early in the year) vs ranked teams. Sad.
It is their fault for scheduling a weak non-conference though. And the fact that in the one chance they had to play someone good, they each lost.Sure, neither team have lost to Northern Illinois type of an opponent also. It’s not their fault Big Ten had a terrible year.

I agree, Miami has a weaker SOS and less quality wins than any of BYU, Alabama, South Carolina or Ole Miss. Granted they have one less loss than those 3 SEC teams, but with the Swiss cheese they call a defense, they'd have at least 3 losses against a real schedule. No but it's better than not having any, period, like Miami. Well, most non-con schedules are made years in advance right? Probably well before the Pac-12 teams started defecting. And other than Oregon, it's not like the Pac-12 was/is loaded with superpowers. Penn State for years has scheduled soft. I guess they'll get a chance to prove themselves next week. That was a smart decision. Keep in mind, the pre-season expectations were that the additions of west coast teams would make BigTen much deeper. As it was the schedule looked daunting, there was no reason to make it even more treacherous.
No one expected USC, UCLA and UW to be complete duds this season.
And I’m sure next season B10 will be significantly deeper. Some of these teams are just going through a rebuilding season.
Interestingly, among ESPN's 13 CFB "experts", 8 have South Carolina with that last spot, 4 have Miami in, and 1 has Bama. Zero with Ole Miss or BYU.Agreed that defense is really bad.
Well, ESPN will def try to get as many SECs in there as they can.Interestingly, among ESPN's 13 CFB "experts", 8 have South Carolina with that last spot, 4 have Miami in, and 1 has Bama. Zero with Ole Miss or BYU.
Yeah, a bit surprised so many have South Carolina though. Tuesday's rankings for the 11 and 12 spots will be very interesting.Well, ESPN will def try to get as many SECs in there as they can.
