Watching this Sunday night game......a healthy Rams team will be a PROBLEM for us to defend.

Their D line is damned good too.....though their back 7 can be gotten.

Could be a real shootout in two weeks.
I feel like I've seen every team in the league called a problem at some point in this thread. I get any given Sunday and all that but we are legitimately better than every team left on the schedule, barring maybe Detroit. We're the problem for other teams now, not the other way around

True.

But there are no truly dominant teams this year, outside of maybe possibly Detroit. Maybe.

We're better than the Niners and Rams, no doubt. But both of those teams can beat any team if they play well.

The one thing though with the Rams is Stafford is a statue back there, and their O-line is vulnerable (they might get a little help with guys coming back from injuries, but even then it's still not great), so if the pass rush can get to Stafford you can get negative plays.

Any given Sunday anyone can beat anyone... but usually the big underdog wins when they are the home team.

Division rivals are differrnt. Records dont matter. Facing s benchmark goid team at home can motivate them. Where some avg opponent doesnt

Outside of the Baltimore game from this year, the past few seasons, I feel like most games outcomes were a result of Buffalo’s play, whether good or bad, moreso than the other teams’ play.

If Buffalo shows up and plays close to their ability, it tends to lean towards a Buffalo blowout win. I feel at this point the consistent idea I can get from Buffalo games is that Buffalo themselves will have more to do with the outcome than anything else.

Perhaps it is irrational especially given that Josh Allen is their daddy, but I want nothing to do with Miami if they sneak in as a WC. They have been playing really good football since Tua's return, and all of their remaining games outside of GB look pretty winnable for them

Alright. Time for a Fantasy Football whine.

QB: Joe Burrow (Jordan Love today)
RBs: Saquon Barkley, James Cook
WRs: Justin Jefferson, Deebo
TE: Kittle
FLEX: Davante Adams/Rhamondre Stevenson/TJ Hockenson
K: Boswell
D/ST: Varies

I've scored the 2nd most points in my league. I'm about to go 5-7.

The last 2 weeks I've lost to the team that has scored the most points for the week....and have the 2nd most points for the week.

Infuriating.

Let me assuage your fears. We're Miami's KC to the Bills in the playoffs. The Pats to the Bills during the drought. We have the superior McCoach and drawing them in the playoffs this season would be a luxury

Yeah. It took almost everything going right for them to barely beat us. If we're on our game- we'll whoop them. If they're on their game, and we're a bit off- it'll be close. No team is an easy W in the playoffs, but I'd rather play the Dolphins than the Bengals. Denver and MIA are pretty interchangeable for me.

We do not yet know whether the Bills and Chiefs will meet again in the playoffs. If they do, the focus should be on what the Chiefs’ defense can do to stop Buffalo from producing even better against Kansas City than it produces against the other 30 teams. That seemed especially true Sunday after the Panthers nearly outscored Kansas City.

“I don’t see how Buffalo melts down unless they have a ton of injuries,” an exec said. “I’m not sure what the catalyst has been, except that maybe they have been off everybody’s radar long enough, and the offseason did not target them as much, and they are clearly operating better in those conditions than having the spotlight on them.”

Until they show themselves to be able to fight in December to close the season out, I'm really not worried about them, especially for outdoor games.

Yeah both Daboll and Schoen are done in NY. They were in a tough position because their first year was an anomaly and they felt like they had no choice but to re-sign the QB. The best thing that could have happened to the Giants was to have a 4-12 season in 2022. They could have moved on from Jones and drafted someone like Stroud or Richardson in 2023.

To be fair, Schoen should have known better. Pretty much the same situation when Beane took over in Buffalo, year 1, overachieve with a good but limited QB (Tyrod). I think Jones is a C tier starter. You can win with them but you aren't going to win because of them.

Beane made a hard decision to change at QB after breaking an eighteen year playoff drought.

The difference was that Tyrod was not a 6th overall pick at QB.

I am guessing that the fact that Jones was a high first round pick had them believing on some level that he was better than he was and that Daboll unlocked him. And that was a big factor in doubling down and giving him that extension.

Want to play with fire? It's not hard to imagine the Ravens at 10-7 with the schedule they have coming in... and Miami wins tiebreakers against them unless the Ravens lose to both the Giants AND Eagles.

If that happened and Miami finished 5-1 and Denver finished 4-1 Baltimore would miss the playoffs. Of course if only one of MIAor DEN finished hot that'd put Baltimore square in the 7 seed....

Will be interesting to see who comes back from injury report this week as well. Not expecting Milano for a couple weeks yet.

It's a little comedy how many people have neurotic posts or superstitions here. There is help for that.

Seen Baltimore is the leader to sign Jones, interesting.

I won't be surprised if they bring Milano back this week and he only plays around 25% of the defensive snaps and they ramp him up from there.

I do not see any way that Daboll ends up back in Buffalo.

If Brady leaves that would be a big opening, but still. Goes to prove again some guys are good coordinators but make bad head coaches.

Schoen never seemed to have a plan. Not sure he fits back here either but we have seen Beane bring guys back. If both thought they could mold Jones into Josh lite, well... ?

History shows they do not rush back injuries, so lets see what McD says.

I would bet more money on Curry getting promoted to OC in that scenario than Daboll coming back.

They opened up his 21 day practice window two weeks ago. Activating him for this week, based on practice going well, would not be rushing him. Especially if they had him on a limited snap count.

Daboll was great for Allen's development, but I really, really dislike how often he'd abandon the run. I feel like Allen's maturity over the past year is due to having a competent running game and an OC who uses it. It's allowed Allen to just focus on playing smart and not trying to be a hero every game because Daboll and Dorsey needed him to be the hero every game to stacks Ws.
