OT 19/3: Filum officiale suffragii pontificalis Conclavis anni MMXXV

I'm not even exaggerating. Having a newly released language model conduct an expansion draft may be one of the best ways to test it.

Look up the rules and rosters, figure out who to protect and expose, pick the players in a way that conforms with league rules, etc.

They typically can't do it 100%.

I'm suing the Lightning after what happened last night
Soccer seems to be more willing to give refunds for poor team performance.

There's even an event in the Football Manager games where after a blowout, the players might refund the fans. It doesn't really do anything as far as I can tell, and seems to be there for flavor.

This guy is off his rocker, however.

What I don't get about Severance (watching season 2 now) is why the characters don't just continually crap themselves before getting onto the elevator to let their outie deal with it.

I recently downloaded Age of Empires 2, Definitive Edition for my Mac. Used a port thing to be able to play it. It's fun. Feels kind of easy against the AI, but I'm afraid to turn it up more right now and get wrecked.

Thinking about downloading Rust as well. Anyone here play it or have a review or whatever?

Rust is pretty good fun with a friend/friends if you like a survival game. It's more fun when you find a good server with as few :eek::eek::eek::eek: as possible.:eek::eek::eek:y people is why I usually don't like MMO's or online games of any kind but that's one of the exceptions. I'll rather play a relaxing game like Euro Truck Simulator for example lol. If I want to get mad, I pop in Football Manager and be mad in my own peace.

The Lego games are usually pretty short, so I've played through this one. It's okay, although it feels maybe a bit rushed.

I figure that it's sort of a preview of what Mario Kart World will be. Good individual tracks/levels, but there's a free roam aspect that kind of muddies everything.

Even freaking Lego games take multiple years to develop now. They used to have one or two a year, but The Skywalker Saga came out in April 2022, and we don't even know what's next.

Has anybody tried Cities Skylines 2? I hear the game is a lot better now than on its release. Worth buying?

CS1 is still more popular than CS2, based on steamcharts.com.

Steam reviews in the past 30 days are mixed (54%)
Well that doesn’t sound too good. I’ve watched a couple CityPlannerPlays videos, game looks good there but he’s a “pro” so that might be deceiving.

I downloaded Stellaris yesterday, it was like 10 bucks.

Pretty cool so far. Took like an hour or two to kinda "learn" it, and I still don't fully comprehend everything, but I was pretty absorbed.

It seems that the pope can't vote in a US election.

As pope, he's also technically sovereign (king) of Vatican City.

I couldn't be happier with the outcome. You can hold firm to your principles and teach others to follow them while being inclusive. You can apply this to almost everything in the world and in life

We also don't have proof that Leo and @Felonious Python have never been spotted in 2 different places at once

I asked two AIs on LMArena the hypothetical. 'Someone discovers they are immortal, how can they best help humanity?'

Both of them seem to assume that this person is a mega genius who can learn all languages and fields of study, becoming the world's human library, and worldwide influencer while also remaining anonymous.

To ground the scenario for them, I said that the person was working at like a Home Depot when they found out. I had in mind that they were sort of just a random person. Here's the timeline folsom-exp-v1.5 gave me.

Example Timeline

  • Years 1–50: Build trust as the "fix-it-all" employee at Home Depot. Mentor young workers and start a community tool library.
  • Years 50–150: Expand to sustainability projects (e.g., helping neighbors retrofit homes for climate resilience). Donate anonymously to local schools.
  • Years 150–300: Retire from Home Depot, manage properties quietly, and focus on preserving local history. Let younger mentors take over your legacy.
