We finally have something to talk about: Marner vs Muzzin

sarcasm aside, pretty sure marner threw a decent hit recently.. his size didnt seem to stop him in that instance. might have been preseason - seems like it wasnt long ago.
 
Remember that game where it sounded like some one said ‘f~~~ off muzz’?
At the end of that game, Muzz grabbed the game puck to give to Woll (I think it was Woll) and Marner tried to grab it from him to be the one to pass it along.
I don’t really care for drama, but it makes you wonder.

A good chance to bond and show that they are men. Stuff happens.

I dislocated a teammates arm in wrestling, was my first year of many wrestling. He was not happy either but it certainly wasn't intentional (though he seemed to think it was, lol)

Best scenario, everyone is ok and they take out their frustrations on the opposition.
 
Pretty sure they're really good friends. Mitch used to talk about Muzz all the time during his Twitch streams when Rona hit
 
Muzzin's pass to Marner for that SHG a short while ago was really good. Happy to see it get its own thread! :sarcasm: ;)

The knots some of you will twist yourselves in to discredit players you don’t like is pathetic.

You’re projecting things that aren’t there because it fit the narrative you have in your head.

i didn’t discredit anyone, there’s no narrative. I said nothing negative about either player. I observed a behaviour.

You said Marner tried to take the puck from Muzzin so that he could be the one to give it to Woll.
It’s a load of crap. You don’t actually know what was going on there. You have an option on Marner and and you saw what you wanted to.

I saw Muzz pick up the puck, Marner try to take it, and then he skated away.
You’re pretty defensive about this.
I didn’t say anything about Marner; just said what I saw.

You saw a brief exchange between 2 teammates and filled in the gaps with your own BS. Now you’re trying to backpedal and minimize it.
This is a discussion board. There are many legitimate reasons at times to criticize multiple players, including Marner. But you invented an entire scenario about Mitch that made him look bad based off pretty much nothing.

Okay. You’re being a bit much now, there’s no BS. I didn’t invent anything. I saw how he acted, and said I wonder. You’re the one filling the blanks. No need to ‘discuss’ further.

Guys his size can throw hits, no doubt, but do we really want him to? His game is based on smarts and skill. Sure, Keefe could tell him to go full kamikaze every game but then we'd have the same crowd bitching about the lack of Marner physicality now turning to whining about Marner getting hurt because he got a reverse hit by someone twice his size.

interesting... kamikaze... this sure escaladed from me saying he threw his first hit of his career to you talking about wanting him to be kamikaze hitting (i attached a definition for you to read below). The answer is yes, i would want him to throw an occasional hit over the season.

Remember Marner crushing Grundstrom at the world juniors? Maybe the hit of the tournament.
