Looking at the box score and you can tell the refs were just reacting to Hill's flopping on both of those penalties. Janmark got roughing instead of tripping and Kane got charging despite not taking a stride.

Troy looked unreal with Darnell, night and day difference on D with those 2 together.

The two best D to pair with Darnell are Stecher and Kulak, and it's not even close.

Both are outstanding at puck retrievals and delivering clean breakouts. Above all else, those are the two skills Nurse needs in a partner; doesn't matter if it's with 3rd pairing talents.

Not even counting all the infractions that Vegas wasn't called for tonight, including the half dozen on Hill, the vicious forearm shiver from Howden that bloodied Stecher's face, the even crazier part is that on two of Vegas' PP's, it should have at worst a man off for each team, or the Vegas player off by himself. On the Janmark penalty, Hill very subtly sticks his toe out and Janny barely touches it, and Hill goes into dive mode. Should have been embellishment on Hill, and I would have been fine with tripping on Janny. The penalty on Kane was comical, the idiot McNabb crosschecks him right into his goalie, Kane had literally no where to go, and then McNabb gets mad and chases after him, following Hill and trying to attack him. Somehow, with two refs within 4 feet, we get the only penalty. It is just mind boggling how corrupt this league is. We are 7-3 with horrible reffing, would be 9-1 with the calls that every other team gets.

We would be 8-1 with the calls everyone else gets. Good assessment on those two penalties. Since both plays were dead(I think, and one was a goal) they couldn't call it goaltender interference so they had to make shit up.

More sickening entitlement. The sad part is the league will bend over for that team, like they always do. A sane hockey fan that has no horse in the race is going to say that. Vegas got off lucky on penalties all night, which is what even the usual Oiler hating panel said. You know it’s bad when even EF thinks the Oilers got jobbed.

Pretty sure if anyone is apologizing it's Skinner, if that's how he wants to apologize I accept. I knew the Skinner love fest would be on full display after this game.

I don't think there's many real Oiler fans cheering against him, we're just pissed off when he plays bad. If he helps the team win, well that's his job. He played a composed game tonight but the D absolutely locked it down in front of him too
