Weird game. Canucks probably had the best chances and controlled a lot of the play but trailed 4-1 early on some brutal defensive plays by Cole, a brain dead too many men penalty to start the game and weak goaltending from Silovs. Could have just given up but kept at it. Crowd was amazing!
The worst start the Canucks could have had was saved by one of the greatest comebacks in playoff history. Scoring 3 goals in a span of 4 minutes and making a comeback when there was 10 minutes left in regulation time. Couldnt have scripted this any better but Canucks showed their true offense when shots and passes dont get blocked. I predicted the offense exploding against the oilers D, too bad the so called hockey "experts" kept thinking about the Canucks offense in Nashville series when Nashville deploys the likes of McDonaugh, Josi and their goalie is Saros. Oilers dont have those high end caliber players in the back end or in the net

If the refs put the whistles away, its huge advantage for Canucks and it should be that way. Playoffs should not be a penalty fest.
It should always be called in that medium between by the letter of the rules and let them play.
Neither want to see a penalty fest nor anarchy out there.
Players will dictate it by how disciplined they play. Elbows and hands down, move their feet, keep sticks on the ice then the officials likely don’t end up calling much.

Can confirm, I sold my kidney in the first round to go to a game. Very expensive, and definitely sold out.
It most definitely was. It was so loud that people from other cities made comments on their podcasts, including oiler faithful.

Our fan support is nuts. Every team has fans that gather DT, we have a groups gathering en masse at 72 and Scott road in Surrey ffs.

Our fan base has it's share of shit toxic people but their support should never be questioned. Rogers is sold out for road games too.

I said before the series started there was no way the Oilers could match our bottom six. I was "informed" that Edmonton's bottom six had speed, skill and savvy and would bury our 3rd and 4th lines.

Like the speedy Corey Perry. Looked like he should have gotten a delay of game penalty trying to skate with the puck.

Add in, Nurse making brain dead plays.

Skinner looking dazed and confused.

Oilers as a team back on their heels and not handling the Canucks relentless forecheck.
So can Knobby figure this out?

I feel the less penalties called, the better the game is. A penalty filled game is not good for the flow of the game and gives advantage to a team with a great PP. Let them play just like how Boston-Canucks final went. Only call the black and white obvious calls like delay of game penalty, high stick that draws blood, and headshots etc.

One thing is for sure, the Oilers dont have any answer to physical plays by joshua. Dakota can keep running around and hitting the Oilers defense as a 3rd liner. They also cant stop Miller who is a physical beast. LA tenderized the Oilers with hits, now Canucks are marinating them, ready to be put on the BBQ.

Was at game, can confirm some empty sets, but those seats 100% were bought and paid for, just not used. Resellers couldn't get the prices they were asking for, or people with wayy too much money on their hands decided not to show up. Either way, yesterday was electric, best and loudest atmosphere I've been to at rogers by far. I thought game 5 vs Nashville was loud consistently, but yesterdays peaks in the 3rd were deafening! I've officially lost voice as it's hoarse and raspy AF.

The third line of Joshua, Lindholm and Garland is the best in the league. Brings physicality, strong D, goal scoring (3 last night) and elite faceoff ability with Lindholm.
If the Miller line can saw off with McDavids line and Pettersson line limits Draisaitl then Vancouver wins.
But that’s a tall order. Only one game. Lots of hockey still.

The Oilers had 4 goals on 17 shots, the Canucks goaltending will be better. The Canucks came back from 4-1 and completely took over the game. Canucks coach wasn’t happy with the way the Canucks played even after dominating that game. This might be a one sided series no one saw coming.

all the things i thought id see in this series all came out last night. Oiler special teams great, oilers controlling the first half of the game, canucks never quitting, oilers playing passive d and getting exposed. canucks scoring quick in bunches, suspect goaltending on both ends. i thought we would see it all over the course of a 6 game series but it all came out last night.

Lots of things for both teams to improve on.
Canucks need much better goaltending, more from their second line, and a much better power play. A rough game from Cole on D too. Need to get more from Hughes offensively as well.
Still think the team hasn’t played its best hockey yet although keeping the Oilers to 5 shots over 2 periods is a heck of a team effort.

why are you lying?
He's actually not lying. I know a ticket broker and he took a bath at last nights game. I met him for a beer at the 2nd period intermission and he told me that it wasn't even sold out as well as the fact he sold tickets last minute under what he paid

Prices, being Wednesday, Pearl Jam concerts a lot of people thinking were gonna lose and mostly the last minute scheduling left some empty seats. Friday night will be packed to the gills

All tickets are quickly sold out, they’re reselling at almost twice the price.
