Post-Game Talk: WCQF Game #3 - Sharks vs Kings (Sharks lose 2-1 in OT)

Right? It really seems like this is some people's first Shark's playoff series. The overreaction is amazing. We just won 2 on the road with the chance to head back down south with a 3-1 series lead. Even heading back 2-2 I'm not worried.

This is Sharks hockey, baby!

I would assume that the people who are overreacting have been watching Sharks playoff hockey for a looooong time.

I absolutely despise DCS reffing and think it's the worst thing about the sport.

Improve the PP and win game 4!

I actually don't mind bandwagon fans. It's the people who claim to support Bay Sports teams (and claim they "Rep the Bay") and only watched the Warriors game (which was mainly a no doubter, certainly not the heavyweight battle of Sharks/Kings) and then switched over to a regular season Giants game.

Bandwagon >>>>>> Refusing to acknowledge the existence of said team which has bandwagoners

They played a decent game. They need to tighten up on a few things. They need to play a bit more disciplined. Thats what led to the LA goal. If they had ignored brown, the game might have been different.

It's nice to see PDB adjusting to the other team as the game/series goes on. That was one of my biggest complaints about tmac.

They need to tighten up in terms of their 4th line being undisciplined but I think in terms of game flow, I think they need to loosen up and stretch the ice more.

Not that Jones was even remotely the problem, but perhaps starting Reimer in game 4 might be an okay idea? 1) Jones doesn't seem easily rattled 2) I could see Reimer coming up huge in his first playoff game ever 3) Maybe it wakes folks up? Probably a terrible, reactionary idea, but meh.

No, it would be a terrible idea. He's been a rock in there and starting Reimer won't help in any manner. It won't be Reimer's first playoff game ever and they don't need waking up. They just need to push more and scratch Spaling for Zubrus.

DeMelo can't just come in at this point. Playing his off side against LA? No thanks.

We just need Dillon to play how he did in game 2.

Dillon and Spaling were terrible tonight. Penalties in the first killed the momentum and the crowd. Sharks were way too casual with the puck all night long, 14 giveaways after 2 periods is unacceptable.

Jones played great and Vlasic was bailing guys out defensively all night long.

They do need to adjust their game. Move the puck quicker in the offensive zone and put shots at Quick. No need to dwell or panic. Just move on.

It amazes me that ppl keep turning a blind eye and say we need to replace polak lol.

But how do you insert demelo at this point? The intensity is sky high.

You don't because putting DeMelo on his off-side for his first playoff game ever at this level is a horribly bad idea. Dillon didn't have a good game at all but he's still a better option.

Would you guys put Zubs in for Spaling? The 4th line has been good but have taken a ton of penalties.

Can someone honestly tell me what Dillon does?

Nothing useful. Then he has one decent game, or a couple and everyone agrees he's a top 4 dman. Dude ****ing sucks, been saying it since we got him.

Oh well, there are worse players so it could be worse.

People were singing Dillon's praises after game 2, now he's completely useless.

Dillon just needs a little reminder from the coaching staff. There were some mistakes made. Some players bought into the crap LA was selling. They need to fix a few small things, but stay the course. This is a winning team with a good system.

Edit: Spaling needs a little reminder to stay out of the box as well.

True! I just don't associate the leafs and the playoffs.

Dillon was so bad tonight. So, so bad.

You mean positive stuff?

I was one of the only people here back in November of 2014 that was angry that Demers was traded for him. It was a WTF? trade to me.

And then that extension, the term more than the money. 5 years for Dillon is probably not unfair if I must speak rationally here. But I'm not too stoked about having Dillon back there for 5 years.
