Arguably one of the most if not the most important games for this current cores history. Time for Mackinnon and Makar to plant their flags and become Avs legends in the process. Play the perfect road period and get the energy out of that building ASAP. I'm upset that I'll at an engagement party but it actually might be better for my wellbeing. Will be streaming the game on phone and hopefully celebrating harder tonight.

It's wild to think the Avs have not won a game 7 since Peter Forsberg scored the only goal in the 2002 semifinals against the San Jose Sharks. If I'm not mistaken, they've never even had a lead in game 7s on the road. They've got to slay their entire history's worth of demons tonight.

Despite having cups and other awards on their resume, tonight will be a legacy defining game for the core. I'm sick and tired of hearing about how they can't win game 7. Screw it. This is our time.

Trust me I’m a lot better now days. Back in the playoffs in 2000s, I would actually be so superstitious that there were some games which I felt if I watched them at home, we would lose, so I’d go to the batting cage where I worked (on my off days or after work hours) we had a TV with cable, and watch those games there. Talk about a nut case I was back then
What are you talking about? I'm still like that. Since we've lost our last 5-6 game 7's and ive watched them all live, I need to change it up., I'm taking the family to disneyland tonight (I live in California) at 5pm sharp. I'll check the site every hour at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm.

My heart can't take another game 7 OT either.

We are just a nutty bunch

I thought I was the only one like this lol. Makes no sense , but it’s almost too much .

Really need a good start , if it’s like game 5, with a bad early goal , it’ll be over . Nothing worst than that sinking feeling the game is over before it begins .

Anyway Go AVS

I checked out on the series after game 5, I don't really care.

Agree. I know we had the 2022 run but that team was just so much better than everyone else, it almost felt easy. IMO probably a bit harsh, but this core has failed to delivered when facing adversity. As mentioned earlier, this is huge for this core’s legacy.

I used to be a Red Sox masochist. After the 2003 debacle and decades of suffering PO losses, I refused to watch the 2004 POs because I was sure they’d lose again. Well, they were down 3 games to 0 to the Yankees and I thought they were cooked. So I didn’t watch anymore. Next thing I knew, the Sox had swept the Yankees in one of the greatest ever comebacks in any sport.

See, I couldn’t do that. If I wasn’t watching the game, I couldn’t check the score. I’d wait until the game was over, would either watch the recording, or go on the site and just look at who won the series. Not the score, but who the series winner is LOL..

It’s just crazy the things we do for this game

I will be zero surprised if Heiskanen is a late 'go' for this game... Seems too early for debore to announce he was out yesterday.

Unless there are rules against doing that - I wouldn't put it past that shithead to try and destabilize us that way...if so, I hope it backfires...

See I’m the opposite . Play a good road game and worry less about the crowd

Yup we won the Stanley Cup on the road. The guys even said game 5 at home got the best of them. I expect a very tight checking game with little penalties called. Refs will be swallowing whistles tonight. Just win the 5 on 5 battle like we have been all series and then the guys can go celebrate at the Diamond Cabaret tonight.

I actually wouldn’t mind that. Stars have been playing much harder knowing they don’t have couple of their top players. If they suddenly get Heiskanen back in a big game 7 when he hasn’t played for a while, there could be some mistakes on his part and let down for them
