What do you suppose a fair offer from another team to him would look like?

See this is where I believe I've allowed my love of how fully he bought into the Avs upon coming here may be shading what he's actually worth to the team at this point. Yes, he absolutely changed his game and earned Bednar's trust, respect and love. But.. can he change once again and become a bottom sixer? Because if he's not next to Mackinnon, I do not believe he's a good fit for the top six. And I sure don't like him in the bottom six currently. The dude is a bandaid... he'll never survive.

I've just got no clear concept of what a fair, good, solid or you did him dirty contract values are for Jonathan. What would a team like Montreal or Vancouver offer him? I can already see the comments about how neither team would offer him a contract... but my point remains. What's his perceived market value?

Just based on the stat sheet probably 5 or 6M lol.

This whole offseason is like that though. There are no clear answers to anything.

About the only thing the playoffs solved was no, do not trade Manson lol.

Were you guys more pumped up when Manson scored the shorty to make it 1-0 or when MacK scored the 2nd early in the 3rd to make it 2-0?

I remember when Manson scored I jumped fist pumping and swearing. That shit got me jacked up.

MacK goal I was happy and thinking “we might actually win this thing.”

I was happier when MacK scored. But the feeling of unease never left my gut. I was expecting a collapse and I when it happened, I just felt numb.

I was screaming on both. As soon as Dallas scored 1, I knew the game was over though

On the PK... LOC makes a nifty stick play at the blue line to separate the puck. Squeezes it along the boards and into the zone, pulls up and looks to make a pass and who freakin' appears? Manimal jumping up into the play on the PK and he makes no doubt about burrying it.

Honestly, this was the biggest feels of the series for me. Even more than the return of our Captain because of the shitty way they rolled it out post his stint with the Eagles. Scratching his ass? Seriously? Then to put him in but keep him on a leash. Only to see in game three he's been ready for line one the whole damn time.

*walks away muttering about deadhorses, Bednar and wet paper bags*

It was obviously a mistake to wait until game 3, but I don't see why you're blasting them for managing his minutes to start. Again, dude hadn't played hockey in three frickin' years and had a couple AHL games under his belt, that was it.

And the main reason why he was moved up so quickly was less because he was playing well and more because every top six winger not named Lehkonen was playing like utter shit.

Also reinforced not to trade Lehky. He was probably their best player, he just continued to be snakebite for some reason.

Led the team by a fair bit in 5v5 individual scoring chances, and had twice as many as anyone else in 5v5 individual high danger chances.

Also bring back Kelly and keep that 4th line together.

iHDCF

Lehkonen - 18
Nelson - 9
Kiviranta - 8

Lots of conclusions I draw from this as well.

First thing that stands out is how low Nate is in high danger and scoring chances. I didn't think he looked or competed like himself, despite the goals, some of which were lucky, and I think that kind of shows.

Also, the discrepancy between both Nate, and especially Cale's corsi shots directed toward the net, and their scoring chances off shots on net, show they were getting chances, just missing too often, especially Cale.

Also, Kiviranta, Drury, Kelly, and LOC being higher than Nate, Val, Necas, Drouin, and Makar on high danger chances is inexcusable, despite how well those guys played.

Necas is way too low in all of these too. Shows he didn't compete very hard IMO, outside that one game.

Brock's scoring chances were primarily the result of other players setting him up IMO. His discrepancy in the rankings for corsi shots vs SCF and HDCF is the opposite of Nate and Cale's too.

I'm blasting them for managing his minutes because he was ready. The ramped up his minutes and didn't effect him one bit. Dude's done nothing but conditioning and strength drill for three years.... my GOD was he ready.

I'm blaming them for making the same damn mistakes they made before we won a cup. Dallas would pin our top unit in the zone and we wouldn't spread the talent until it was too late. f***ing worked. The year we won the cup it the playoffs had Mikko on the second line, a TON.

I blame the coach for healthy scratching the teams top line LW in game one because he wanted to Hollywood script the return at home. Then he reluctantly put him in (probably was f***ing ordered to by Chris or Joe) but limited him to 3rd line minutes. Then in game three they unleashed him.

Same brain trust that refused to put Necas with Nelson.

I feel like the majority opinion in the last week has been to nail CMac for everything and the players for whatever that didn't cover. Bednar is the major culprit in our issues. 10 years of doing the exact same f***ing thing. It's only worked once. Which also happened to be the one time he tried something different (Mikko on the second).

Bednar is costing this team games because of his lineups and he's costing this team series because he's an idiot.
