I think they want to save him for a big home ice game 3 return. I also think the Avs coming in (mostly) healthy allows them to do that even if Drouin has something bothering him 365 days per year.

What I predict is Bednar uses the first two games to see who gives him a reason to take them out in favour of Landy. Those bottom sixers + Drouin better play their hearts out.

It just doesn't make sense to me. He played b2b pro games and left them feeling good. Unless he feels like his body isn't up to snuff for some reason, I don't think there's anything that could stop him from wanting to contribute right out of the gate.

The West is very tough this year. We are limping into the playoffs and we draw LA who are very tough at home. If we beat them, Id say we play Vegas.
AVs draw Dallas . U beat them, u draw winner of Jets and Blues. There are no easy roads

The Blues used #AllTogetherSTL until they realized no one was using it because it was too long.

"VegasConceived" would be more accurate. There are tens of millions of them out there . . .

Game 3 always made the most sense.

I don't think most people realize how significant not playing for three years is. Even in game 3, I bet Landeskog sticks out like a sore thumb.

If we get a split in Dallas, Lando in Game 3 is almost assured. Not sure the Avs want to throw him out in Game 1 - too much on the line. You want 100% certainty that all your guys are full go.

Then again, for all I know, Lando feels like Superman and will lay out Jamie Benn on his first shift on Saturday.
