Get ‘em with a novel
@Foppa2118!

I mentioned last week that I thought Malinski should probably have a slight edge over EJ.
But he should only have one game of rope IMO, because his weaknesses with getting hit down low, and his game falling apart, are the kind of thing that gets targeted in the playoffs, while EJ's chemistry with Girard helps that second pair, and allows for Manson to play with Lindgren if they want.
Trying to be objective, I don't think EJ has been bad overall though. I thought he was pretty good the first five or so games, and the analytics backed that up. Especially protecting the puck and getting it back and forth to Girard to get out of the zone. They were honestly very good at this.
Then his play dipped when he was playing hurt, along with his skating, especially on his first shifts where it took a while to loosen up his lower body injury.
After that he's been ok. Couple iffy shifts but also a good game mixed in there. DIdn't watch the last two so can't comment on them. If he's skating well, he can play well. When he's not, it's a concern.
I'm happy EJ is back in a depth role, but I said before and after the deadline, I thought they needed to bring in a top 4 D man in addition to Lindgren. Any injuries will really test out the blueline.
