I know buzzheads like Kouleas always say "everyone thinks the officials are against their team", etc. but one must take into account the timing of the penalties as well as the number called. This is classic Oilers getting called for two in prime time when the tone of the game is being set, or right after they score a goal. Probably well above average in that regard. Some evening out in garbage time when they are too far behind or ahead to matter. (I really believe they call a lot of powerplays for the Oilers when they are clearly going to win the game, to help even it out).

It would be worthy of a study by call and also by official across the league.
