I would advice you to take attention on:
Goalie: Simchuk - good goaltender, can steal some games but not elite. Also he likes to move net from it's position when it' becomes hot around the his net.
D-man: Klementyev - This guy is from Ak-Bars, not good and not bad.
Forward: Shakhraychuk - Tough guy and power forward from Dynamo Moscow. Average defensive and offencive skills - can score, can play on the crease, but he is built like tank.

BTW, anyone know which goalie that have won the backup role behind Lundqvist?

I think I've heard BÃ…G saying Holmqvist somewhere...because he played so good against Russia i EHT.

Me too. :shakehead

Anyway, I think the Ukrainians will be a quite tough opponent. Any team with its roots in the soviet school of hockey is, with sufficient depth, a team that should not be taken lightly, as we all learned 3 years ago..

I say Sweden wins by a score of 4 to 2. Last goal empty netter.

I'm hoping for good things from the Wing contingent of Team Sweden. Too bad Holmstrom and Lidstrom passed up. :(

I'll probably watch some of this game tomorrow "on demand".

Could somebody keep an eye on Weinhandl and Franzén?

Prediction: 4-1 Sweden

The WC debutant Johan Holmqvist will be in goal for this game, according to swedish media. And the winger Per-Johan Axelsson suffers from migraine.

According to this link Lundqvist will be in goal, maybe they've changed it again.

And Kahnberg will play with Jönsson/Nordström, I like it a lot! :handclap:

I'm 99% sure that we'll all have to watch Höglund float around on some line out there. Probably causing a goal or two by not back checking or taking his man and probably missing a few open net goal chances from 4 feet from the goal crease.

holy ****. He will be playing in the first line with Alfredsson and PÃ¥hlsson...oh noes :shakehead

Ukraine team strategy is beating opponent players with stick.I hope referee is ready for these lumberjacks. :shakehead 5-1

Hoglund's shot hit Lundqvist in the neck and Henrik snapped :biglaugh:

Figures. Höglund can't hit a barn door when he has to but he can injure a goalie with eerily precise shots to the neck. :p:

I told you! :madfire: :soap:

This means that Franzén will be sitting and Höglund or, quite possibly Kahnberg, will be 13th forward when Axelsson comes back. :banghead:

Anyone know if we'll go with 7 or 6 defenseman to start with?

If those are the defensepairings I'm more staisfied than before, good to split up Bäckman and Norström. Bäckman-Kronwall looks really good IMO, but I would rather see Jönsson-Sundin, than Jönsson-Rhodin, but hey, they'll probably play all 7 in a game like this.

Prediciton: 6-0 Sweden.

When Axelsson comes back he'll play with Påhlsson and Alfredsson. It was meant that Höglund should sit this one out but PJ's sickness changed the plans.

Things I like to see tonight:
- Swedish win (doh)
- Lundqvist/Holmqvist with the shutout
- Powerplay clicking
- Thomas Rhodin and Magnus Johansson not sucking so much
- 2 open ice hits signed Niklas Kronwall
- Jonathan Hedström roughing it up with a Ukranian player
