Hey guys,

i got swimmer's ear in both my ears from sweat from my hockey helmet. I have a couple games tonight and wondering if anyone else had this happen and what did they do to prevent sweat from entering the ear canal?

If you have some negative space in your helmet, you could attach a piece of sweatband there.

Ear Drops after the game? If you have longer hair maybe keep it out of your ears?

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, think im going to try the sweat band in the helmet first. If that doesnt work then i will have to try the skull cap. It was weird i have never had this happen before for the 15 years i have been playing hockey

I've also seen a decent amount of people use the under armor skull caps.

Look up halo as well... Though that could possibly make it worse?

The halo caps have a silicone strip that runs along your forehead to stop sweat from dripping down your face. Google it and you will find some discussion...
Has worked amazing for me. NO sweat dripping problems since I got it.
Though I never had issues with my ears, and I guess the strip may divert the dripping towards your ears... Doesn't for me.

Under Armor and Firstar, have skull caps and bandanas that work awesome(as seen in my av). If you still have issues, you could always put in earplugs, or cotton.

I've been cutting up strips of old t shirts and using them as bandanas. That does pretty well to keep the sweat out of my face, and I'm sure it's working on the ears too.
